We have too much talent in CM to go for a JWP… but man set pieces he’s unreal. The best in the league. We’d have to move on a Dominguez or a Yates or a Danilo if this happens. Perhaps in January. I also think our team is being built around athleticism and transitions, and whilst he can ping a pass and a set piece… he doesn’t have the dynamism that we’re used to and that bite off the ball. Danilo, Yates, Dominguez, Sangare… all have bite and tenacity (although Sangare makes it look casual he’s a beast). I rate JWP but don’t think he fits our preferred profiles.

I'm so excited, that I just can't hide it. I give it a 97% chance that this deal will be fixed within thursday night. And that it will be a tiny possibility for 30 mins against Wolves, but more likely, Taiwo gonna be the sub for Wood. He sure need some more minutes in his legs, and I'll guess he's gonna get at least 35 mins against Newcastle on wednesday. But very welcome on board to Giménez if this deal doesn't get mixed up, I guess he will be our first choice striker already in the Liverpool-game after the int. break. Sure looking good at WFCG now, and this should be a great season with lotsa magic moments.

JWP would have to replace MGW to make the team work. Pereira is a different matter. He would be a great signing as an 8 possibly Danilo will be away for longer given our medical record and with the Man Utd interest we may find that Danilo is on his bike in Jan or next summer.

Really really excited about the prospect of Giménez joining us, but slightly concerned at the same time that only a verbal agreement has been reached. To me, that is a definite red flag, and I'll wait before celebrating until a written agreement has been signing by all parties, and Giménez is actually at the City Ground. The Ward-Prowse development is very interesting indeed, but again, I'm not going to be popping the party poppers until contracts are actually signed. It's a case of "I'll believe it when I see it". Then (and only then) I'll break out the champagne. Just hoping that it is true. 👍

Ward-Prowse as a number 8, yes please. Our goalscoring would go up by upto 30%. I reckon there will be some out going’s though. Dominguez has not hit the expected heights. The jury’s still out on Sangare, Anderson could claim that position yet.

Sangare is a defensive midfielder, the only midfielder who has a chance filling in, is Yates, the rest are no where near upto the standard as a no.6. For the record, when majority of Forest fans, you probably included, were slagging sangare off, saying hes crap, useless ect ect, I was laughing as he is quality and he'll more than prove it this year. By the way, It was reported that he had malaria. after AFCON and lost 2 stone, which explains alot

@@richardwatson9653I know Sangare is a CDM, Anderson has also played CDM for Newcastle and has a lot of potential to nail that position, even though he can play elsewhere. As I said the jury is out on Sangare, he hasn’t yet had a good 90 minutes for us at top level. He is improving, but ain’t there yet. When and if he reaches that level and can maintain it then he will own the shirt, but until then, we have to hop. At £35M he can’t be crap, but we are looking for a dominant, consistent CDM and he has yet to prove that he is that player.

@MichaelBrown-vz4kl there's a reason he was the only midfielder that played the full 90 against Bournemouth, and would of played the full 90 against southhampton, if he wasn't in danger of getting sent off. Trust me, I watched him for two seasons at psv and to be honest, I couldn't believe we signed him. There were a lot of top clubs looking at him. There's still improvements to come from him, but what I loved against southampton was when Murillio went for his escape up top, subsequently losing the ball and out of position, guess who filled in at cb? Sangare, that's what he brings to the team. It's no coincidence Yates has started scoring in pre-season and assisting against Bournemouth, he's getting forward alot more, as they know there covered defensively if they lose possession. It's starting to look real good at Forest, just need to sign the blooming top class striker

We lost the midfield towards the end v Bournemouth and it was no surprise they came back and equalised and he was part of that. You’ve seen more of him and he’s played better for PSV - we all hope he can do the same for Forest, clearly it’s taking him time to reach those levels again… PS I’m sure he’s an intelligent player, no question, may just lack match fitness after his long lay off - Hope he plays against Newcastle to give him more minutes to get to that level.

I'm a West Ham fan, just to update you on JWP, the issue is we have Irving, JWP, Rodriguez, Alvarez, Paqueta, Soucek and either Kudus or Bowen likely to play in the 10, plus the are looking at bringing in Soler, we'll have 9 players for 3 MF slots, it looks very much as Lopetegui is looking at moving a couple out, likely JWP and Irving.
