What Up KZbin Peeps! I'm BACK with that Verbal Cardio! This episode is about playlists in gyms, being naked, Dapper or Midnight, BMW vs Mercedes and why I prefer BMW, the double standard for black actors, and being stuck in certain roles.

That rant about the gang and drug violence is real Tony. I grew up in Roseland in Chicago on 112th. I saw my first murder at 9. A young boy shot in the head right in our driveway. He was trying to hide or run idk. I they tried to tell me to stay in the back of the house but i snuck and saw his body. I can still remember seeing the blood coming from his head although i wasnt close enough to see any brains.

Let’s not pretend that Hollywood is being called Hollyweird for no reason. It is what it is. My son is out there as a professional dancer and absolutely works his connections. However I’ve heard many stories of what goes on behind the scenes. It’s on those who want to be out there to decide what they will and will not do to be famous. As for us viewers you’re right we can pick and choose what we support and I certainly do.

I don't think the issue is w/BM in dresses. It's w/black straight men cos playing femininity. It's nice to tell parents to raise their kids but most don't. So if a child is looking for a role model...it's easier to pick the BM making money from being 'masculine' then the BM making money from playing dress up. U made solid points tho.

Oh Tony, when you realize that Midnight is the Diety, and Dapper is his half Diety, and you are just a good worshiper, then you will understand this cat thing. Cats love us, but only for what we give, food and love when they decide that we are allowed to give it to them. Otherwise we are just second class citizens to cats.

Yea…people’s obsession with the sexuality and sex lives of other people by way of religion, politics, or whatever mental conditioning they’ve embraced has always been very off to me. The fact that it’s supposedly addressed in the Bible but f*cking babies isn’t, being able to claim a woman after r*ping her is, and many of the other asinine parables found in this book that people let control their lives…is proof that it isn’t a moral compass.

It's more about emasculation and ritual of the business. Not being corrupted or influenced. When you are in your own box preaching your word with no one questioning what you're saying. Your words are of course, absolute. Not saying that you are wrong but to say it's only influence is not the whole story. I also guess we shouldn't be fishermen of men? Pastors and others should just focus on their own self? No community? Therapists should shut down? Worry about themselves?

I get what Tony is saying about the imagery and kids but the only difference is Nino brown, scarface not on sesame street or any children shows but the other stuff is I don't think no one's sex, or gender, or relationships should be discussed on children shows that's goes for straight gay bi trans just make the shows imagery entertaining for the kids that's a place for them to dream, imagine, and become creative that's all

Tony, it wasn't fair at all to bring up The Wire and Snowfall in that conversation as far as stereotypical depictions of the drug culture. Those shows were grounded stories that relayed the message of how oppressive policies lead to the unfortunate circumstances that contributed to the lifestyles and choices of many Black Americans. Cautionary tales that gave us something to actually contemplate in the face of sociopolitical issues like the education system, politics and law enforcement that effect our communities and how we interact in them. Don't conflate good art with the b.s. you're discussing. The Wire and Snowfall didn't "glorify" anything. That's part of the reason they were so poignant.
