Don't know what to say Verdegrand. I don't know how you manage to surpass yourself in every upload, but somehow you do. This is as close to perfect as a piano arrangement and performance of video game music can be. This is exactly what it is about, making piano covers that are enjoyable and beautiful on their own, even if you haven't heard the original music, and even though there are no other instruments to back you up. Both hands have just enough variation to always keep it interesting without sounding overdone. I'll keep this on repeat for many days to come!

Thank you for your very supportive comment. Making and recording these arrangements takes a lot of time and work and it's really good to know there are people who appreciate this, because in general I'd think that arrangements like these have fallen out of appreciation on KZbin nowadays for whatever reason, when compared to many years ago.

@@Verdegrand Yes indeed. It is a shame. Especially when they are so well put together. The transition from lost ancient ruins into Death Mountain ♥ The way you forshadowed with the left hand while the right finished the melody really gave me a Castlevenia throwback :D New Messiah to Aquarius if I remember correctly. It shows that you really put a lot of thought to ways to intertwine your melodic components. Brilliant!

I listened regularly to your Castlevania Medley (I'm a big fan of Castlevania) since 2010, and since I follow you without letting any comment, and I feel ashamed for that. As a pianist myself, who loves to improvise and mix styles, especially jazz/blues and classic/baroc, I love so much all of your work. It's truly amazing, inspired, and only you can play and think like this. Everything is so good, I love it so so much, your amazing, not only because you are ofc a really good musician, but because you play with your heart, and I'm really sensible to this. Thank you for sharing, I enjoyed it so much. Keep up the good work. (also, it's surely not a good thing to "request" anything, but I always dreamed of a good cover of the Fat Princess Theme on piano. I try to play it myself and put some jazz in it, but I'm far as good as you are. I suggest you to take a look at this understimate song. I think it suits to your style very well.) Best wishes.

I have been waiting for a long time to watch a new medley! In the past you took the concept to the next level, not only in the arrangements themselves, but in the entire audiovisual experience you managed to craft! Considering how you have changed, I was expecting something much less "grand" and "ambitious"... something that would not feel like (what I consider to be) that mythic level of "medley design" that your legacy has... however, this blew my mind!! I can feel the same excitement that I felt in the days of the old medleys! Congratulations for the grand project!! This is ultra-professional and awe-inspiring!
@Verdegrand6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for saying this! I mentioned to a few other commenters who doing these projects takes a lot of time and work, and that it's good to see people who appreciate that. Because it's easy to dismiss with the content you tend to see in this community nowadays on KZbin. It looks like some of my earlier medleys have impacted people in various ways, and that they feel like this medley does it again in a similar fashion. And that is good to know because I have a lot of ideas for more medleys and larger projects. Anyway, I can't tell you how much I appreciate it that you would write these things, thank you again.
