Cox cable gives me a solid 180Mbps. This cube gives me anywhere between 250-360Mbps. Much faster, but the rates are all over the place, and latency is double (~45). Guess I'll just have to suck it up and live with faster speeds for $40/month less. 10 year guarantee on the $50/month price.

Thank you for your informative videos. I just set up a Verizon 5G Home Internet Gateway and trying to do the Port Forwarding for my LTS Security Camera System and IP Cameras. I accessed the Verizon 5G Gateway and went into Advance Settings where Port Forwarding was listed. I added my LTS DVR iPv4 address and added Port 80, Port 8000, and Port 8554. Unfortunately it didn't work. Any suggestions? Also I was thinking of adding a router to the Gateway thinking I could plug the LTS Security Camera System into the router and then set up the Port Forwarding on the router rather than the gateway. Interested in your thoughts on this also. Thanks, Ken

In my network Status tab I don't see anything telling me if im connected to a 4G LTE tower or a 5G UW tower. Im getting like 80 down and 15 up so I think thats 4G

CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME WITH MY SETTINGS OF THE GATEWAY I HAVE THE SAME ONE I USE THIS TOTALLY for gamming with my pc and xbox i have tested in the same spot that my gateway sits with my phone by the same carrier and im getting around 200mbps download and 15 upload but anything i connect to the gateway even being the only thing connected im only getting like 70 mbps at best. also a strict nat type i have forward ported my xbox and that has helped the ping but i would really like to see the 200 mbps dounload on my devices so any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

I mean I hooked mine up today that I just got a few hours ago to my Xbox and I haven't opened that type automatically but not quite for sure how to turn it off I did hook up my own Wi-Fi device which is just basically a plug and play it's an a ROG Wi-Fi device but it works it's just I have two wifis which you don't do 😂

I have this same box, it is the Askey model. I will explain something that is really weird, I am on the LTE only home plan capped at 25-50 MPBS. However, my box gets 160 MPBS download, and 11 upload. I was told by a Verizon agent that the 25-50 MPBS cap is not an offical cap, it has to do with towar capacity and proximity to the tower. I was confused by this because I am getting higher speeds than the plan they have me on.

My Verizon 5g home plus internet is a bigger modem not square size and came in a very nice black box with 1 eithernet cable hookup but never got the eithernet cable wire hummm need to check with Verizon on that but I have 10'ft eithernet cable that is much strnger

You know how to setup your personal router to this? I had to ditch spectrum they kept shutting my internet off for hrs then turning it back on late at night. Apparently they don't like when you play games or watch TV for a few hrs after working all day. But they enjoy taking your $100 something dollars for there crappy internet service. But I have a asus gaming router, and was hoping it would give me a little more speed than 60mbs.

I wouldn't say this is great for gaming coz my ping is a bit high and sometimes it lags maybe your results are different. However, I wouldn't know what to say if you do not have all the features/options in the Web GUI stated in your previous comment. But I guess all I have to say is factory reset it then maybe(?) it might show up - but please note/disclaimer if you do factory reset your gateway settings will be defaulted to back how it was, and you might need to reactive your internet/change settings to get it working, I personally haven't factory reset my Verizon gateway yet but I just wanted to give you a heads up if you do factory reset might lose internet/might not unless you know what you doing. Could always call Tech support for assistance.

I tried one of these and it sucked! when it worked speed was good but it conflicted with the net numbering of a current network and would not allow me to change the ip address range. The device bridges the 2 ethernet ports and the 2 wifi radios together and will not allow simply allow one to just turn the box into a sinple bridge/cellular modem configuration where ONE ethernet device gets a public ip address. For me this box was cmnpletely unusable. Add to this Verizon's completely incompetent tech support staff who had absolutely no KNOWLEGE of ip networking or how to set things up. my service has been canceled and my hardware is being returned. This is really sad as looking at the open source links the router runs openwrt internally which is really good open firmware for routers but verizon lobotomized it, made it devoid of any advanced features, and supports what is there poorly. my recommendation - go elsewhere at least until verizon raises the bar and allows for at least bridging the ethernet and cellular radios.

Yeah they're pretty useless but I eventually found out how to do IP Passthrough - it's DEEP the settings but is akin to Bridged mode. Took me days to find it. Now I have Opnsense running behind it - still trying to get it working smoothly. Verizon doesn't even let you change away from their DNS there's not even a field for it - they want your data. The way it is now is much different from the dashboard in this video and they literally removed the warning telling you to switch to LAN2 and that LAN1 will be for management only
