I totally agree with the idea keeping the car streetball. Its been my build philosophy with my Mk2 Skoda Octavia RS and now doing the same with my Mk3.5 Octavia RS245.

@@trackhackau yes it is so easy to get carried away with the plethora of parts out there. Street ability is key, hence I really avoided the draw towards a tracksport suspension kit and went with the Ohlins R&T. Best decision I made. For me, the Skoda LCA is same as the TT ones so I’m good there. Bush I will eventually change to the RS3 solid one when I drop the subframe for sways and the downpipe. The isweep chassis braces are a huge improvement tho, very very noticeable gains in rigidity without NVH addition, and with the Ohlins+034 tops put in now, the whole car just came alive!

I gave up compromising my track car to be ok on the road and just brought a daily driver that was best of both worlds a track car that drives exactly how I want it to on track and a nice comfortable daily car

It is difficult to do both. This car is still pretty amazing though to get this far without messing it up too much. I have another daily but it’s only a 2 seater so I still need to do school runs in the GTI.

If you can find TTS arms second hand I highly recommend them. Better option than Superpro IMO.

Dang kinda shit on my plans to run their front arms and subframe on my daily lol.. i have all their rear stuff and love it, really changed my R. Now i have an 8Y S3 and planning to swap all that over, but i want a few track days first so i can actually see and feel the improvement. I tossed on the anti squat arms already and damn does that ever change things for the better!

Honestly it’s not terrible and everyone’s tolerance to ride quality is different. It was just a little too much for me and it made me miss how the car felt on the road prior. They are amazing on track though.

Don't forget- the Verkline front subframe is fully compatible with stock MQB arms. Just not Whiteline or SuperPro . So you can still get the stiffness and 14 lb. weight savings and use A3 aluminum arms with RS bushings. That would probably be a great fast street/ weekend warrior track compromise. More aggressive camber and caster would have to come from adjustable strut tops, CS knuckles, etc.

Verkline subframe with TTS arms would be a good combo. What you mention is exactly what I have. Strut tops, CCS knuckles.

Great video, Was the rubbing issues you had with whiteline LCAs only when pushing hard on track or all the time? I have recently bought a set (the +2 degree caster version) but now seriously reconsidering installing them, I don't want any rubbing dramas, I don't track the car but want the best street performance I can get. Your input will be greatly appreciated.

It’s mainly on track that it rubs but it does do it on the street too on compression. I do feel that the setup I had was too much caster. I also had the Whiteline strut tops which also give caster. So would be similar to the +2 versions. How much it rubs will come down to your wheel and tyre choice. The manufacturers mainly test with stock wheels.

034 motorsports just released an lca for the mqb platform. They look suspiciously similar to the Audi tts lca. This might be another great option.

I have a 2017 Golf R Peformance pack. I found one aftermarket OEM spec Audi TTS arms it has the same partnumber (8S0407151B) and made from Aluminium also with the ball joints included. Will this one fit one the R? Are just those arms enough to give me camber and caster? Do I need to fit rear sway bar as well for better handeling and also for road use? I want a street capable car

How much toe adjustment do you have left with the Audi arms ? How much thread left on the tie rods with the increased track ?

I didn’t install them this time around so I’m not sure. I run toe out on the front. I know people have said there isn’t enough thread. I also have the camber set to the minimum. You can get tie rod extenders if you need them to be longer.

Thanks I have a 7.5 R still stock done 30K I assume these would go well with the aluminium subframe and rs3 bushings, and maybe H&R 26mm rear roll bar.

Yes will go very well. That’s pretty much my setup. Thickest H&R bars front and back. I think they are 28 and 26. Car drives on rails. It’s insane.

@@trackhackau Forgot to mention I would need the TTS adjustable ball joint to go with the TTS arms. Are stock R strut mounts OK. Also do you use a catch can and or oil cooler?

Yep you must use the TTS ball joints. Stock R strut mounts work fine. You will get camber and caster gain from the arms. I use a Spulen catch can. No oil cooler.

You want them from the current generation MQB TT. So from 2013 I believe. Part number is 8S0407151B. Ball joints 8J0407366/5 for left and right.
