Nice!!! How was the NVH change with the new subframe?
@BryceJordanProductions Жыл бұрын
Almost none at all! But the arms do add some creaks and pops when they need lube

when are you going to mount it? I ended up canceling my Tryol sports dead set kit and will sell my racingline dogbone upper and lower dogbone kit as well as the racingline pendulum. They are brand new and havent been mounted yet. I will also put my MK8 aluminum subframe up for sale. It has 8500 miles on it. I just got the Audi TTRS front control arms as well as the Audi TTRS front wishbones and all the mounting hardware. As well as many other other performance parts.

You're going to sell all of that to get this? Honestly that's a good move if you want the best of the best! My video on the verkline control arms come out tomorrow, they're so legit! Hopefully have the install video for both the subframe and arms come Monday. I'm starting the install today after work! If you have Instagram and wanna see progress pics feel free to follow me @br32yce

@@BryceJordanProductions Yes I may as well those parts. Figure maybe I would ask around $650 shipped for the aluminum subframe, racing line upper and lower dog bone kit plus pendulum as well as new mounting hardware that I also bought. That $650 includes the paypal fee. Then I get a $325 refund for the Tyrol sports dead set kit which includes the dead set kit, tax and shipping. So after deducting the paypal fee , paying for shipping and the dead set kit refund. I should have around $900 towards the Verkline subframe. The Verkline subframe is costing me just under $1100 shipped from where Im ordering it from. So Im only adding less than $200 for it. Getting the Verkline subframe I save a lot on installation costs. #1 I dont have to pay to get the Tyrol dead set kit installed (not sure why some mechanics were charging so much to install the dead set kit. The subframe was being removed anyway to install a new clutch, front sway bar, front lower control arms, front sway bar end links, upper and lower dog bone pucks) since the Verkline subframe doesnt require it. #2 I dont have to pay to get the oem upper and lower dog bone pucks removed and have the Racing line dog bone pucks pressed in since the Verkline subframe already come with them installed. #3 I wont be charged to remove the oem aluminum subframe and have the Verkline subframe installed. Im only going to be charged install costs for the front control arms, front sway bar, ball joints, and front sway bar end links. But even that labor will cost less since my old control arms arent being removed from the oem aluminum subframe. Once that subframe is removed. The new control arms will be installed on the Verkline. And of course there is the labor for the wheel alignment . But Im not factoring that cost with the Verkline subframe and the other parts. After calculating the cost of buying a Verkline subframe and having it installed with those other parts. It came out to be less expensive selling my parts along with cancelling the dead set kit and not paying for other labor costs. Rather than using my oem aluminum subframe with all the racingline and tyrol parts along with the extra labor associated with going that route. So if I decide to pull the trigger on the Verkline subframe. I will have my clutch masters clutch, clutch master 23lb single mass flywheel, clutch masters hydraulic release bearing, RMS, fluidamp, Wagner intercooler, Wagner charge and boost pipe kit all installed at the same time. And I will install the valve controlled cat back exhaust, rear sway bar, JB4, and mudflaps. Im still debating whether or not to install the Racingline lowering springs. Or maybe wait for Bilstein to come out with a plug and play coil over kit that works with the MK8s electronic suspension like KW came out with. Then decide which to get. If I dont install the Racingline lowering springs Ill sell them too. Sorry for the long response above. The Whiskey was one thing. But the edibles kicked in. When that happens I tend to make sure my explanations about what I am doing are as on point as possible LOL. Originally I was just going to say yes I will sell those parts and ask for the amount listed above and write about the dead set refund. Then say yes I will follow you on instagram. What I really wanted to know before writing the long a$$ thesis above was about the Verkline subframe. I have some questions about it that maybe you can answer which will help me decide whether to get it or not. Im going to track this car,(not as much as my motorcycles) but it will be my daily commuter. So I wanted to write some things I saw with the Verkline as well as ask a few question. I saw how the Verkline looks mounted. Is it me or does it seem like there is less protection than what the aluminum oem subframe provides? Meaning the beam going from left to right in front of the dogbone mounts on the OEM subframe. While the Verkline has its tubular bars shaped like a V exposing a lot of whats under the car. It also looks the Verkline has less protection right behind the dogbone mounts. When looking at the oem aluminum subframe there is thick triangle in the middle of it which 3 small exposed areas. My worries are that even though the oem plastic skid plate fits with the Verkline subframe. Since the Verkline looks like it has less protection up front as well in the rear. I feel that the oem plastic skid plate will have even less protection. I did some research and saw that the VW GTI Alltrack has a much bigger skid plate which would cover up a lot of the exposed areas. What are your views on that? I saw that it actually covers all the exposed areas. I think it would fit since the oem and verkline subframe mounts in the same spots on a MK7 and MK8. Once again sorry for the long thesis. Let me know what you think 1

awesome to see this video! so curious how much NVH this is going to add to the car! been thinking about picking the front and rear subframes and all the other suspension parts from verkline for my daily driver but it being a daily not a track car i'm a little hesitant that it will make the daily use too rough.
@BryceJordanProductions2 жыл бұрын
Very curious on the nvh as well, I'm sure there's gonna be some but going off of all their rear stuff it ain't bad at all. Guess it really depends on how sensitive and how tolerable you are

This is also a dream setup for me, excited to see how you like it. Just wondering, are you also going to add the steering rack spacers at the install?
@BryceJordanProductions2 жыл бұрын
Yes those spacers come with the arms and they show up tomorrow. Not sure exactly what their purpose is but I trust their judgment
@evofan11132 жыл бұрын
Those are there to get better tie rod alignment on lowered cars and combat bump steer. One of the best features of this subframe imo.
