I will update this comment in the future for X amount of turns for caster and camber to get X alignment settings! Also, it calls for loctite at a handful of spots, I can send pdfs if you need it but there is paper instructions included, also always follow instructions for torque values!

Tubular subframe and spherical joints give you the ultimate precision and stiffness, but ……..at a price. I have a similar setup on my practice rally car, with pillowball top hats and a complete rollcage . The car is very responsive and tight. Zero comfort and quite noisy, because everything is transmitted directly to the chassis. But ,man is it fun to drive 😁

@@BryceJordanProductions did you end up getting the tubular subframe for the rear? Wondered if I needed to snag that as well or if stock rear subframe will work fine (I have a TTRS but still mqb)

Yeah I had that long before the front! My vids are far back when I did it on my mk7. Also a very nice unit. The rear trailing arms and wishbone/hub bushings are a huge upgrade as well. I have everything they offer 😅 car is an entirely different animal now

Damn bro, this is the longest YT I have ever watched.. Oh man, getting that Verkline installed is an absolute beatch!! Hats off to you. I was wondering, you commented no rubbing (paper test) but that's with an empty car. But what happens when the old lady and you sit inside, wouldn't the space get smaller or rub during suspension 'action'? Good sign is that you feel the steering is tighter already. Looking forward to the alignment and true road test!
@BryceJordanProductions2 жыл бұрын
With the weight that might be a thing for camber but not so much camber, at least at full lock. Never at full lock unless I'm racing (alone) or in a parking lot so I'd be very slow.. good observation though you might be onto something. I'll have to pack the car up and make sure there is no rub! Pretty hyped to go test man, strut brace came in yesterday and camber pucks come Friday hopefully align for good early next week 🤗

You might have to change the height of the ride height sensors. We had to do that for my friends MK7 with DCC as he got a suspension error as well. Just bent the arms to fit in the range.

Do you know or can you ask which direction to bend them?

Bryce, dumb question, how do you jack up the rear end on your car? My GLI is AWD converted and I find that is the hardest thing to do as I don't want to destroy mounts or bushings back jacking on the diff or something that I shouldn't
@BryceJordanProductions2 жыл бұрын
I jack on the spots on the sides of the car, there are spots further in where you can install jack pads, I believe ECS sells jack pad kits. Then I place my stands on the subframes. If you're using the OEM rear subframe there's some flat points you'll see kinda behind the wheel if you're looking straight on it. I've jacked from the diff before though I don't think it's a terrible idea but I don't do it often
@DevineDigital2 жыл бұрын
@@BryceJordanProductions I was looking at those jack points while watching your video. Good to see ECS has them I’ll have to get a set. Thanks for the video and all the blood sweat and tears on this one hHa

@@draza3083 I do have notes on the threads! Wound up at -2.9 camber and I think right at 8° caster. I actually just ordered coilovers gonna wind up setting up the car for some drag racing here soon so there will be more fresh content on the verkline stuff in the following month or so! As for jack stands yeah it wasn’t fun at all whatsoever but I’m glad I did, I learned so much and that’s priceless
