Great interview Kev Mac! Is there anyway you can talk about any of the guys coming up who had or raised Pit Bulls? I've been into the dogs for many many years and I remember as a kid (around 1975 or 1976) riding our skateboards from Western Ave & 65th Place up to Centinela Park in Inglewood. I would see a large group of guys with their Pit Bulls up there and they would let them fight. Right in the open! I remember watching those dogs do a lot of damage to each other, but for whatever reason I couldn't turn away. What I saw stuck with me forever. From that point Pit Bulls became my favorite breed of dogs. I remember there was a guy that lived around the corner between St. Andrews & Gramercy, he had a real nice looking all white female. I used to ride my bike buy his house and stop on the sidewalk to look at his dog in the back yard. A few times she had puppies with her and I wanted one. But we lived in some apartments so I knew I couldn't have a puppy back then. But the guy who lived there saw me at the front of his house looking at his dog & puppies and walked outside and started talking to me. I was about 9 or 10 at the time and he asked me if I liked dogs. He had to be in his early 20's or approaching his mid 20's. Maybe he moved out at a certain point cause by the time I got to Crenshaw High School and would go around the corner, I never saw him anymore or his dogs. So maybe he ended up getting his own place and moved out of his parents house.
