Veteran chests now have a max of 300

Of note, power level does not matter if you are salvaging, only rarity, so if you have some lovely level 300 gear but it isn't orange or red tier, and you have difficulty getting a full run on champ, don't bother continuing to grind on harder difficulties for the rare chance to find a level 300 orange or red, instead grind on the easier difficulties to get the scrap needed to upgrade. Currently it takes 10 scrap to upgrade a grey item to the next level, then 20 to upgrade a green, and 30 for blue, so worst case scenario you will need 60 scrap to upgrade a level 300 grey weapon to orange quality, though more often than not it'll take 30-50, and from personal experience grey items give you 1 scrap, while green items give 2, blue 3, and orange 4, and on veteran difficulty getting general chests should be second nature which on average reward 8 scrap worth of salvage. So assuming you wasted all your scrap along the way to level 300, it should only take you on average 6 games to upgrade, which are much better odds than finding a 300 orange or a red.

I've levelled all 5 heroes to 30 after about 130 hrs of play. It didn't feel like a grind and I played mostly _Recruit_ then _Veteran_ difficulty. My heroes are all approx. 500 power (i.e. 200 in weapons and items) and I got to that power by only opening mission reward chests. I've saved 40 Emperor chests from completing Dailies/Weeklies and another 160 commendation chests from leveling. I'm going to start opening them all when I reach 525-550 power to take me upto 600 on all items and heroes.

Don't know if it was mentioned at some point but there is no point in crafting until you reach 300 power items, since anything before that will be obsolete, as there is no way to upgrade the power of an item.

This is wrong. Crafting items ALSO increases overall power just like opening chests and it allows you to obtain a specific item rather than hoping you get lucky with a chest. It's true that any item below 300 power will be useless once you reach 300 power but crafting an item you want has its own utility/benefits and also brings you closer to 300.

not really.. i noticed that bots you find are the last characters you chose before starting the mission. let's say you press h and set: knight kruber, tank dwarf etc.. then you'll find those classes. Also Bots take same bonus of gear you set on them so you cold pick a DPs character like Kerillian, set a good sienna for burst dmg and then go with tanky dwarf and kruber and you can run champion in solo, even vs bosses

Reds are just reskins of oranges but with max stats you can easily get maxed stats on oranges if you have the patience I do I have good luck when it comes to getting good stats

Yes, That's to not Lock more casual players out of content. But give more dedicated players something to work towards. The reward is a weapon that can be rerolled, always at max stats to fit different builds.

Hello, English is not my main language so I write it to confirm that I understand. You say we can not have loot in our box that is the lowest that the equipment we already have? Should the object be in our bag or must it be equipped at the time of opening the trunk? If I have an object ilvl152 equipped the chest will give me necessarily an object ilvl152 + for this type of object (Mêlée, distance, neklace, others)? Are the different types of equipment separated at the level of the ilvl? I mean, if what I wrote before is correct, the fact that I have a melee ilvl152 will force the game to give me a melee weapon ilvl152 + but is that also true for the objects of the other categories? If I have a weapon ilvl152 and a necklace ilvl20, Does a weapon ilvl152 force the game to give me a necklace ilvl152 + or it is aligned on the level of my necklace and so it will be only ilvl20 +?

Normal is not hard AF, it's practically kiddie mode even with subpar hero power. It's just that half the classes and weapons don't work well so until you've got a half decent build you're going to fail a lot.

Recruit chests do not stop at 100. I have only played a couple veteran games so far. All of my gear is out of recruit chests and most of it is over 100. Not much higher, like up to 125-ish.

Considering Champion is easy, you shouldn't have to powergame too hard. You simply have to play. So many people are scared of Champion, it's not hard. Just don't murder your teammates, be willing to share kills, and there's really not a huge difference from Veteran.

Issue is I'm not exactly good at the game. I really can't play Saltzpyre, Sienna, or Slayer Bardin. I can play Ironbreaker and Kerillian but those classes are easy, Kruber is a bit mixed with some games going well and some games going poorly. The biggest issue I find is that people don't want to share kills and also stick together. They want the circles at the end of the game. If you find someone who does stick close to you, they're looking at where you're killing rather than making sure you don't get flanked until it's too late. If you make it to the end and very few people went down if anyone even did, if someone got 400 kills they're going to still queue with you. You could be the best at this game and still fail a recruit run if your teammates aren't with you. Not only that, one of the biggest issues I find is people not caring what character they picked. When you respect each other's roles the game is far easier. For instance, if you're Ironbreaker you really shouldn't have the pistols out during a horde but rather you should be making sure the horde is swinging at your shield and your teammates can mop up everything quickly without getting too damaged. Legendary is difficult no matter how well you play, but even then it's not so terrible as to be impossible, it's just a challenge that you'll probably want a few friends to manage haha.

champion feels that way for me too, but maybe it's because I'm at such a high power level now. Higher power level means you can cleave through more enemies and stagger bigger guys. having team mates that do their job is also a factor

Literally just had a champion game where I was picking up a teammate and this ironbreaker starts spamming drakefire pistols at enemies right next to me, damn near killed both of us. Not like he even needed to, I have glaive with swift slaying and high critical hit so I can pretty much solo anything short of patrols or massive waves of specials.

Negative. Reds do not roll the "best stats" they simply roll max stats for that specific item and it's fixed properties and trait, while Oranges can have their properties maxed out, it just takes resources and patience.

I've never seen any hackers in the first game and I have a few hundred hours put into it. They didn't have an anti-cheat running in the first, but had stated in one of their blogs or forums that they were indeed implementing VAC into the second game.
