Next time you come to Vermont stop at the Bennington Battle Monument in Bennington. Also about an hour south in North Adams Massachusetts there is Mount Greylock the highest peak in Massachusetts that has a War Monument which you can drive or hike to so awesome.

what are the best dates to visit Vermont for Fall colors?, any idea.

Depends on the part of the state you go to. The higher elevations in the center mountain region, colors peak around final week of September. The Connecticut River valley and Champlain Valley area, the colors peak the first or second week of October. But it ALWAYS depends on how cool the evenings getting around that time.

Vermont doesn't gerrymander their state it's a people state Republican governor and two great senators that work together for the interests of the state and it's one of the cleanest state in America
