Hi White Glove. I am writing to you from England and I absolutely love your superb videos on youtube on antique furniture. I have some exceptionally rare pieces of 18thC furniture mostly Irish and English pieces that’d make your eyes pop out. I have a dear friend (who I’ve not actually met in person) who restores antique furniture in the USA (Maine) called Thomas Johnson, he has a huge number of restoration videos on youtube and I recently contacted him about a super little George II (Circa 1750-1755) mahogany tripod table with writhen column and a rare one piece circular tray top with a shallow carved scallop-shell edge. As you’ll know most scallop-shell edges were planed down and subsequently lost. There is a little damage on the edge with some loss which can of course be carefully restored and conserved. Around 90% of the edge still remains and there have been a fair number of very keen specialist antique furniture dealers, including the celebrity, Lennox Cato and Jon Bly’s son from the BBC1 Antiques Roadshow who’re very intrigued and offering to buy it. I would love to see your collection and occasionally I come across American pieces here in British auction houses. Looking forward to your reply Paul Meaney
