Masterclass with Professor Veronika Hagen in which they focus on the first movement of Hoffmeister's Viola concerto in D major. This masterclass took place at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía, Madrid 2003.

Abstract:
This fragment of the masterclass focuses on the performance of the cadenza from the first movement of this concert. Hagen comments that it is necessary to open up the sound, push it to grow. For this, they work on the control of the bow and the contact point on the string. The student must never forget to enjoy each note, it is full of passion. The right arm is the leader while playing. The student must search more contrast, more graduation in the dynamics.
