You can’t do a hill climb test on boards with different gearing ratios. The evolve having much bigger 107mm wheels with either 32T or 38T isn’t anywhere near the same as what your RS has. Also what’s the point in comparing the RS against a previous gen evolve that’s not even available anymore?

I have a Verreal F1, for the money verreal cant be beat. I got mine for 350 shipped with upgraded battery. I'm not surprised their belt board didnt beat evolve but it also cost a lot more I think. Good vid keep it up.

Hi Andrew, thank you for your great video, 👏. Just one thing I don’t agree with the Evolve top speed, we can see on your video that the top speed for the Bamboo GT one is 33 km/h. So better than this RS Verreal. The second thing for me, I think Evolve GT has better acceleration than the RS Verreal. Why ? because we can see that on your video with the 2 different views. One with the speed view and the other with the side view. So, I can say with your nice video that Evolve is a lot better than Verreal RS. Thank you again for your video and your great job. Best 😉😊😎

Hey David, nice to meet you my man. Look yes ... you do have some really good points here. The Evolve certainly has a better initial take off bite ... but the RS does have a fair bit of grunt and seems to pull a bit more after the first 10 feet. The Evolve’s price rag of $1800 Australian against the $1,100 AUS for Verreal RS you not getting $700’Australian better components... Vic has managed to source official unbranded Boosted Wheels .. these are so spongy bouncy and glide over corrugated concrete without any feel very credible wheels!!!! and you look at the price comparison and performance specially with these bigger motors it really is a no-brainer ... the RS is a better board than hands down for the price and components. A one example of which is the motors on the Evolve which are smaller and for some reason they just always get really hot so it’s about 58 to 60°C. I rode the RS around about two hours the other day on the 30°C day and the motors did not get over 25° C crazy... Great to chat 👌 awesome evaluations from yourself and thanks for your feedback on it cheers Andrew⚔️

Hey David, yes true but the problem is the new Evolve GTRuse of 18650s and the 30Q and 35E variety in my tests not great on amp delivered but they are better for long-range. The older Evolve with the LiPo system in my opinion is a better battery system buy delivering higher rate of amps .. although only slightly... it makes a difference to the torque Zzz in my Evolve definitely is more punchy and more bitey than the current GTR. I agree the LiPo fo suffer terrible battery Sag but if you look after your batteries properly and condition them like mine hasn’t had any range lost... Believe me the Verreal RS Board is a phenomenal build 2 years in the making...it’s a refined board and ultra smooth and powerful no sound no restyles just pristine ... it is really if blindfolded against an Evolve or Boosted a much much more high-profile high premium feel board... its mind blowing frankly ;) I hope that helps Dave awesome great to chat to you thanks for fantastic feedback on my reviews greatly appreciated, made my day 😎👌 cheers Andrew⚔️

The rs has less range less torque it's more maintenance specially cuz it's Chinese n the parts r normally sourced from common chines3 factories, sure u could say the same for evolve but the quality is different and just BETTER you don't need to be a fanboy to state facts.

that evolve is several years old, and the verreal motors are 6368 motors compared to the ones the evolves are rocking. Maybe this isnt a good comparison.

Hey Shane ;) Great to hear from you...wow that’s a really good point as well. Hill No.4 number four was always just to steep for any hub motors and nothing would make it up there except for the Evolve / Onan four-wheel-drive and Raptor. However ...as time goes by and as the technology advances and batteries /esc and motors get more powerful I think Hill No.4 will be the new Hill No.3 ..LOL..good stuff .. but Hill No.3 is still such a good benchmark because we know the speed of all the boards and how fast they get up there. It’s so deceiving it’s quite a steep street when you walk up at and when you standing start at 94 kg rider it really takes a lot of power to get you up there at that speed .Cheers awesome Andrew⚔️

Which really concerns me (Belgium's a rainy country and you never know). 3) build quality compared between those both? 4) are the pulleys ABEC clones proofed? Hey Dylan, great to hear from you my man yes I know exactly where you are, Belgium had a ball in Bruges last year, do you live in a friggin beautiful place fairyland. Okay I’m getting this a lot and I best way of answering it is broadly as follows the Verreal RS is an extremely well built electric skateboard and is incredibly sophisticated. Vic is asking a ridiculously low price for it it should be around US$300 more but he’s obviously offering it to get it out there. At present he is designing the all-terrain wheels so that is the only downside they’re not ready to go now. The wheels are boosted wheels I’m branded as supersmooth and go over everything like butter and the motors are from the same supplier that supplies Evolve are bigger motors they don’t get hot at all like a Evolve which are smaller and reach 48° C temperature crazy hot ... so if $$$ cash is a problem I would go to the Verreal RS ... and if you’re not fussed for all terrains right now that’s the go. However if you want AT and you definitely have got an extra US$300-US$400 I would go to Blackhawk it is unbelievable.... It’s got an amazing long-range battery 17Ah does 43 km range it has 4000 W combine motors power and it absolutely calves on a dime and believe me it’s craps all over an Evolve including the current new GTR range. Everyone is thinking about the ownboard but frankly it doesn’t have anywhere near the component quality or the power. It has smaller motors then the Blackhawk it has smaller battery and it’s not in the same class I’ve ridden it, 1) The Verreal has minimal flex which I personally like it’s beautiful to ride and is with the smooth and whisper quiet it really is an Evolve killer... I think I’ll be getting around 40km range on the 12.8Ah ... The Blackhawk does have a bit more flex again not super bouncy but has more flex if you’re looking for that. 2) both are really quite well waterproof I’d say IP55 to IP55 with a verreal has a steel under casing that’s rubberised membrane the Blackhawk has a very good dupont plastic with membrane waterproofing however the Blackhawk has 2 x USB ports that really aren’t waterproof all of the Verreal is a bit more sealed with no USB 3) The build quality of both pretty much exact ...you have Hobbywing ESC in both (You can even interact both remotes with each board) have the best quality batteries Samsung and Panasonic respectively the trucks on the Verreal or a bit more robust chunky and solid if your lighter here Blackhawk truck carve like crazy a lot more.. Check out my BlackHawk Unbox and when I do the tight 3 foot diameter circle carves ...mine blowing. 4) okay the pullys on the RS are definitely boosted style circle or prongs to go into the round holes that only works with the Boosted /orangutans and kegs. While you can order the ABEc gearing from Vic ... The Vestar BlackHawk comes with abec gearing I’m pretty sure on the street wheel kit .. but I have an actually ever put them on ...i’m just using the honeycomb all-terrain 6" ... but I’ll confirm that with you 👌 Hope that helps Dylan I’m also getting the cloudwheels to try and work on those boards to see how they fit one 120 mm that’s coming up in a couple weeks, awesome great to chat cheers Andrew⚔️

I asked Verreal via WhatsApp and he replied that the deck is just 36". Seems pretty small. I'm pretty tall and like more real estate to stand on 😁. Normally decks are more to 38". Just seems small compared to all the other boards (Ownboard W2, Wowgo 3/3x, Koowheel, Evolve, Exway,...). Or is it just me 😅? Thanks again!

@@zulupenman btw if you'd indeed wanna let me know about the ABEC pulleys on the Black Hawk. They said via Messenger that they don't have ABEC pulleys. So either way the pulleys with the street wheels are fixed or they're not ABEC style. Communication is really bad from both Verreal and definitely Vestar 😅. Torque and top speed wise? Both are the same I guess. Black Hawk has 4000W motors, but the ESC can't output that much Amps I think. Thx again amigo, take care!

You’re spot on they have actually glued the gearing in to the wheels on that particular model so you can’t utilise that. I’ve got my gearing from Vic they’re CMC milled alloy it’s brilliant quality ... Vic is being at a wider longer deck accommodate bigger batteries (19Ah) that might work for you if you’re height too, correct that the Blackhawk motors of 4000w combined won’t be utilised fully as the ESC can’t supply and amps to accommodate that setup, sounds like an awesome set up you going to build (or have a built) thanks for awesome feedback Dylan...let me know how you went thanks Dylan cheers Andrew⚔️

Ive always wanted an Evolve but i dont have "Evolve" money and this seems to be better performance and half the price. I have a set of airless tires, have you tried to see if those will fit? Should be fine as long as the pully cover isnt in the way. If so, can the pully cover be removed?

Well .. this is extraordinary value quite frankly it’s a $1,100US componentry set up board I don’t know how the hell Vic is doing it at this price on what he’s asking for ... it’s just crazy... the RS a precision build EBoard this is extraordinary piece of workmanship and this just so refined so smooth so quiet and you getting a bonus official Boosted wheels (they are actually boosted wheels just unbranded) and you getting the same motors from the same supplier that supplies Evolve ...but Vic’s motors are bigger motors less labour on these babies and more torque ... and they don’t get hot like to evolve motors the difference with my tests are 28° difference cooler... okay range I’ve just found out that yes Vic can is now offering a 14Ah battery option ... which will give you close to 50km range on these street wheels easy ... and the later on when Vic releases his optional AT (pneumatic or Airless ) you’ll be looking at +40 km if you weigh about 94 kg like me... every kilo less and that you’ve actually gain about another half to 1 klm ;) the 35E are amazing they are mind blowing got them on the Blackhawk....they have zero voltage Sag... they go right down to the last 15 feet before they die with full power and torque .. crazy ... it’s seriously not worth thinking about just grab one of these I don’t think the price will stay down that low for that long probably go back up to the $1,399US mark which is about the right price for this product ;) I haven’t been off mine I’m absolutely loving it ... i’m going to upload soon a trampa pneumatic conversion kit option for this that will be really eye-catching and pretty friggin dynamic, awesome great to chat cheers Andrew⚔️

Hey PapaHulk ;) fantastic great to meet you and congratulations on a very wise purchase. Okay the drop-down menu allows you to only pick the 150mm All Terrain pneumatic wheels on the 20ah Battery setup .. but don’t worry that’s exactly what you want they are an incredible all-terrain air tire my favourite stock standard set up for long-range trips or long-range group night rides…. the 20ah is friggin incredible…. got me 51 km range so if you weigh less than 96kg you going to get up to 60km range on this bad boy. You won’t regret what you’ve done it’s an incredible investment the Verreal RS it’s a high-quality premium product when you pull it out of the box you’ll be blown away with the sophistication of this build it is first class, in terms of commuting it’ll be a perfect commute tool because it’s robust solid the motors don’t get hot at all …you won’t need to do anything more but set up some ShredLights on the front and back and helmet up and you’re good to go ;) thanks so much for watching my videos awesome stuff let me know if you need any more questions answered cheers Andrew⚔️

Hey Nin ;) sorry for the late reply I have had a 300 messages LOL. Okay I did use the original ShredLights brackets and I do only have the original ShredLights, unfortunately there are no longer available and you can hardly get the brackets anywhere. But if you use the new Shredlights and new brackets they will fit underneath you like me .... you may to space them with some washes to get a bit room for the new ShredLights.. but yes I prefer my lights under the board 👌 it looks clean and they work well for the RS ;) thanks for the awesome feedback on the video made my day thank you, Cheers Andrew⚔️

Hey Jasip ;) hey bro nice to meet you, and what a clever question. Congratulations you’re the first person to ever ask you that in 3 1/2 years on my channel. Okay the best way to answer this in two parts, first part I actually am retired I left work at the age of 52 so I’m home every day I can ride them a different board every day where most people are working and don’t have that time available. Having said that.... I don’t ride them every day LOL so try and get one out every two months for the ride and then charge it. There is a secret to keeping in maintaining your batteries the best thing you can do is bring them up from 0 to 60% and leave them there do not fully charge them ..and then when you go for a ride you charge them 40% more people charge. By doing this it’s like a DGI drone batt those built in management cleverly brings them down to 60%... secondly, battery is now in year 2021 are extremely clever and well-made you can leave electric skateboard for about six months and I still have charge on it and still run beautifully. However there is some damage to the cells and you don’t always get 100% performance that agreed. hope that answers your questions but yeah it is a worry I do think about it a lot, cheers Andrew⚔️

Andrew, also wondering if you modified your Evolve to remove any voltage sag? I have a Bamboo GTX and it's battery can be upgraded to a 10S4P, but it costs like $500, then it would have more range and no voltage sag. Did you do that to your Bamboo GT One?

Hey Ray, wow great question. Because I have so many boards I only ride the evolve every month it’s only that had only 10 full charges and discharges which could be good and bad .... but for the last time I took it out I got 18 to 19 km range so I think it still okay. Yes there are some aftermarket better battery set ups and actually donto believe Frank the owner of Zill Boards is made a U/T membrane which goes on the bottom of the original GT under casing lifts that up about half an inch and accommodate a better battery pack to get a 35 km range is charging about AU$600 for those modifications using Tesla batteries but it still early days. Evolve wants $600 for new battery , so I think for now just hold off here are some mods coming... but I totally sympathise Ray it does suck after a while that Evolve sag gets down to 15 k’s pretty appalling... i’ll give you guys an update on that soon cheers Keep safe Ray Andrew⚔️

Hey Vladimir , great to hear from you again and man I’ll get to Bulgaria at some stage and have a ride. Okay great question. This is an easy one to answer the remote is the new model coming out of the hobbywing factory. The Verreal RS uses the Hobbywing ESC so does the Blackhawk ... so essentially you can use this OLED remote with either board and you can order them straight from Hobby wing in China... Note: the OLED remote performs beautifully on the RS in fact it makes the brakes even pull up a little bit firmer. However on the Blackhawk there was a slightly noticeable lack of top speed and initial torque... maybe 5% less from the original Blackhawk remote ....hardly noticeable but still worth noting, so if you order the Hobbywing 0LED remote for the RS you’ll have no problems atcallit’s 👌 you can order it from the Vestarboard website , cheers Andrew ⚔️

Which one is better for longer commutes ~20km per day? Vestar blackhawk or Verreal RS? I'm interested in the Verreal, but the lack of flex has me worried it might not be as comfortable for long distances.

Hey Andri ;) Great to meet you bro, and wow thank you so much for awesome questions. Look you are spot on with the Verreal hasn’t got as much flex however these kick arse 90 mm official boosted unbranded wheels are so buttery smooth and bouncy if you’re thinking of just a street wheel set up these will be like all terrains it’s so smooth. If you are definitely going over rough roads ie corrugated concrete expansion joints and generally off road and need all-terrain wheels I would go the Blackhawk it is good to go out of the box with the all-terrain set up. As Vic from Verreal won’t have his all-terrain wheels available for another six weeks... Now in terms of range Vic is about to bring out a 19Ah think and he has all the different sizes coming through now to compete with the Blackhawk magnificent humongous 17Ah kick ass battery ... I got 43 km range on it .. you’re easy to do your range on either Eboard so it’s getting down to your features and functionality you’re after, both are extremely good bang for buck and equal in their component and quality of builds... hope that helps let me know how you go cheers Andrew⚔️

Hey Ray , great to hear from you my man awesome... sorry it’s been so long I hope you haven’t done a purchase yet I’ll try and give you the right information. Definitely pull the trigger on the VerrealRS it is sensational value best ever EBoard I’ve ridden period .... this twice is better build than evolve,, The good news is because it’s taken so long to get back to you Vic is definitely going with an all Terrain pneumatic air tire with a lovely street tread it’s going to look sexy as ...with CNC milled alloy rims ... and as a bonus for Boosted wheels that came standard with the original Verreal RS are no longer the standard of run out there going to be this heat crazy incredible neon gas light up wheel but never wears out that lights up like a fluorescent light 78 a 97 mm calked “glow wheels“ they call them ... it’s coming in with a new battery option and slightly wider deck same Hybiscus pattern on the deck that can accommodate a 19Ah battery Wtf .. @@zulupenman Yep, already bought the Verreal RS with Boosted clone wheels and 14 Ah battery, what's on the website now. I guess I can always upgrade or customize this board further down the road -That's why it's such a good deal!!

Hey Jacob, so sorry for the delay I’ve been so busy and just getting back to my comments now. That’s great question normally I only get a discount code for the new products however if you contact Emily at Vestar and I say you’re a friend of mine and a subscriber see if she can give you a bit of a subscriber discount on the ESC ;) that normally yes the discount codes only go on the Unbox for a new product ... Hey xiXOTIC ;) Great to meet you bro. Yeah look this is obviously coming on my channel soon .... but I’ve been so busy with a few things happening obviously. At this point I can assure the RS will do on these spongy bouncy Official unbranded Boosted wheels (which go over everything like a feather) your looking about it least 37km range. This range is on my RS board that has a 12.8Ah battery.... The motors didn’t get over 26° temperature the whole time this is mine blowing compare to the heat and the Evolve motor generate it’s 2 times hotter ... scary .. Great to chat cheers Andrew👌⚔️

Why would you measure top speed as you get to the top of the hill? Rather than the same point on the hill. Using different gearing and wheel size will effect top speed and torque. Your tests are from a scientific perspective pretty much invalid.

However I don’t know you’re probably not familiar with my EBoard a Reviews and this channel but I do all my “Hillclimb tests” on this one Hill, it’s called Hill No.3 ....yes agreed it’s a bit of a boring location lol ... however the consistency of every Eskateboard going up this hill with the Vidometer and speed test makes for very interesting stats .. I also have a “leaderboard” like the top gear show with “fastest lap” that’s just the best probably Hill Climb Comparison by anyone reviewing EBoards on YT ... check out the other videos of the same hill and other EBoards you’ll start to get an understand what I’m doing 👌 cool no worries at all hope that explains it cheers Andrew⚔️
