This Versus Series match up will play out as a perfect test between speed and strength within the Final Fantasy franchise. As the Blitzball superstar Tidus from FFX will go up against Shinra's first class SOLDIER Zack fair to see which combatant would emerge as the winner.

what touches me most about zack was his attidude. no matter how impossible it seemed Zack would take it on or die trying. He never gave up. And most importantly its what he died for. He died so cloud could live. Thats the extent he was willing to sacrifice for his friend. When in all essence..he barely knew him. I think Zack is the greatest ff character of all. not for his strength, but for his loyalty and his compassion. He truely was remarkable.

I like your battles far better than screw attack's battles. While yours isn't on the level of theirs as far as graphics, actual demonstrated battles, and even entertaining dialogue, you have proven to not be biased at all, as to where some of their's come off as biased for quite a few of their fights. Would love to see Angeal vs Auron. The only problem is...Angeal really didnt get much action compared to Sephiroth and Genesis. I dont think you can just go off and say that Angeal is just a carbon copy of Zack with 5-10 extra years of experience but thats just my observation. If 3tr does do an Angeal vs Auron, I'd still watch it, cause I like Angeal's story.

Ok Jasper let me explain. In my opinion Zack vs Tidus is a contest between an fully trained power dueliest in Zack and and experienced Speed fencer in Tidus. Both Zack and Tidus have knowledge on how to engage the other with Zack having fought the greatest of speed fencers Sephiroth and Tidus knowing how to engage power duelist thanks to Kamirhi and Auron. What gives Zack the win here is that he has the far more effective weapon and his physical capablities allow him to take more damage than Tidus which in this fight all Zack would need to do is outlast Tidus until he burn out his stamia. Now the difference between this match and Tidus Vs. Cloud is that Cloud has no idea how to fight against Speed Fencers and does not have the combative training and experience that Zack did. One must remember that up until Zacks death he has a minimum of 10 years of Combat experience and Training while Cloud had less then a year between the time of Zacks death and the beginning of FF7. Now Cloud did gain somewhat of an understanding of Zacks fighting style in the time frame of FF7 but he did not master it to same level as Zack did by the end FF7 and Cloud had a lot of help over the course of the game while Zack always fought alone. Now in my opinion there are 2 diffrent Clouds there is FF7 Cloud and then there is Advent Children Cloud who easily surpasses Zack as a combatant. In my Tidus Vs. Cloud match, Tidus would be fight the weaker of the two versions if he were to fight Advent Children Cloud Tidus would loss without question. But FF7 Cloud is a much younger and less experience combatant which puts him on par with Tidus in terms of the amount of actually combat experience that they both have. Now in my Zack Vs. Cloud match up Zack would be fight Advent Children Cloud not FF7 Cloud if he was fighting FF7 Cloud Zack would win easily but at the end of the day by the time of Advent Children, Cloud had taking all of Zack's skills and evolved it the next level which is something that Zack never lived long enough to do. Now this is a quick explanation on why the matches played out the way they did but if you would like me to go into more detail let me know and I would be more then happen to explain more.

And Cloud has experience fighting a fencer. Sephiroth. Zack lost to Sephiroth like bad when Cloud seems to always beat him whether it is in kingdom hearts, dissidia ect ect. Sure Cloud had help through the game but when did Zack even fight any of the weapons? none. Sure he fought summons but they aren't as strong as the weapons. And think about this jenova, safer Sephiroth would be impossible for Zack to take on alone and I'm sure he would need help. You're not doing Cloud justice.

Thy 72eaper OK 72eaper let me explain this step by step. #1 Cloud has no experience fighting a Speed fencer during FF7 I am using Cloud as he was during the game not Advent Children. Cloud would lose in a heart beat against a 100% healthy Sephiroth (do I need to make an entire video explaining this because I will) ? #2 Yes Cloud does have magic but Tidus magic is more focused on enhancing his speed and slowing down his opponent and yes Tidus could easily dodge Clouds magical attacks because Tidus has experince fighting along side Lulu who is many time more powerful then Cloud which means that Tidus has knowledge with how to deal with people who use magic and Cloud is a more of sword fighter then is he is a magic user. Members of Solider were trained to use physical combat and only rely on magic as last resort and Cloud is just not that powerful and on a final note having Fought along side power fighters Tidus knows how to engage them and how to exploit there weakness. Cloud is tied with another character as my 2nd favorite FF character but even I will admit that Cloud is a punk BITCH compared to how badass he became in Advent Children. Now I know that for many fans this outcome is had if not impossible to accept but this is one of the many match ups that I am sticking with and have no plans on changing. Hell if it would please the viewer I will make a FF7 Cloud match against AC Cloud match to reveal the combative differences between to two to show that Cloud during FF7 is just not that strong. By the end of the game I wouldn't even say he is a strong as Zack was by the time he died. But if you still disagree then that is fine. I have had this discussion for months with tons of people bringing up the same arguments and I am just tired of it. I have said my piece and now have moved on to other match ups.

Even though zack was injected with jenova cells his body did not accept it because he had resistance to it and that's why he was considered failure you can see hojo's assistants report documents even though cells were there it did not enhance his abilities.

That doesn't exactly make sense. Genesis said a modified version of Jenova's power runs through him. While he may have resisted the process, the Jenova cells did have an effect. Just not to the full extent, as evidenced by the fact that his S cells aren't pure. But the power of Jenova is in him, as evidenced by the fact that when the Genesis copy eats his hair, it mutates him. Who knows, maybe it was just an error on their part.

Technical he's kinda a spirit since Zanarkand did exist in FFX before Sin destroyed the city and in reality Tidus dies along with all everyone else in Zanarkand during its destruction even Jecht admitted offering himself to become the Final Aeon that he wanted his son to be on "top of the world" as a blitzball player but acknowledges that both Tidus and Zanarkand are gone, but the Faith of Bahamut kept Tidus alive similar to an "unsent" like Auron so yeah Tidus is still a human well a dead human to be exact. 😓

Good analysis. I think you overestimate Tidus' speed even with haste. There's pretty much nothing to suggest that Tidus is a bullettimer without it. Whereas Zack wove through machine gun fire in Last Order and took out 30 some odd Shinra Troopers while unarmed. I just can't see even a Hasted Tidus surviving that encounter based on the more grounded FFX Universe power scale.

While you're definitely right that Zack is a power fighter rather than a speed fighter, you should rmemeber that he was shown to be fast enough to deflect bullets in the opening scene of Crisis Core. Even if this wasn't with the Buster Sword, it seems to me that he could have evolved enough in the 2 years after the opening scene and until he was taken by Hojo to do the same with the Buster Sword.. Not saying this makes him as fast as Tidus, since I have no idea about Tidus XD Just reminding you that just because he's more into power he doesn't exactly have slow wrists :p Also, all SOLDIERs were injected with JENOVA and mako. Zack's stint as an experiment simply... gave him more of that.

I'm wondering tho Does Tidus REALLY not have enough things to plan with? I mean he was the captain of a blitz ball team, and from what I can tell, he's swimming in water the entire time so that gives him a little more speed than he gets credit for, and the fact that he's an equal to Jecht who is known as the King, I'd say Tidus has a lot more than is really shown. I also don't know how smart it was to include Tidus's Brotherhood while Zacks uses the Buster Sword which is indeed his final weapon and Tidus's is Caladbolg which is pretty insane when compared. Even so I love how you make these, these two are my favorites so honestly I wish they could fight one on one, maybe a practice match or if god forsakens a deathbattle

One Life 2 Live I absolutely agree. Compared to all of the other main characters in the FF series, he appears to be the weakest physically, magically, and perhaps even mentally. But on the other hand, he is technically 'dead' or a 'ghost' throughout the entire FF10 game. I think that'd make him him harder to kill, at the very least... at the most, it's the ENTIRE source of his powers.

If I'm allowed a sugestion for a match up, I would recomend this pairing, and I'm aware of how strange it is: Edward Elrich (Full Metal Alchemist) vs Yu Narukami (Persona 4) Now I'm aware that not only are they from diferent franchises but that it also sounds weird, so let me explain: Yu, or the Protagonist, relies on the power of Persona and the power of the Arcana, both of these powers require him to understand both himself, his represed thoughts, his relationship with others and how they change him, giving him the ability to summon incredible creatures that have different abilities. Edward on the other hand relies on the power of Alchemy, which, instead of relying on the heart, relies on the brain, it relies on how much do you understand the physical world around you and how much you can change it, allowing him to change his surrounding to aid him in battle. So yeah again it seems like a weird match up, but I think it kinda makes sense, the question would be what gives you more power? Your heart and the bonds that can strengthen your spirit? Or your mind and your understanding of both your physical self and the physical world around you? That's why I think it's a good match up, anyway it's just a suggestion if you don't wanna do it, it's cool, thanks for the awesome video man! :)

Interesting matchup. I agree with the only thing I will say is that it doesn't seem Tidus has much formal training. He was known to be friends with Auron but it does not seem like a student-mentor relationship. A fight versus a trained martial artist and an untrained brawler is quite one-sided. Especially when you have a lot of sparring training. While Zack is not the best swordsman of his era, his accomplishment as graduating to 1st class is no small feat. He's still among the top 1% of warriors in that universe which includes the likes of Angeal, Sephiroth, Genesis, and Cloud. Since Cloud pretty much copied his fighting style, we can make similar assumptions about Zack based on Cloud's feats.

i don't dislike this video, but you missed alot of points which makes me kind of angry being a big FF fan. Tidus uses other weapons then brotherhood which is one of Tidus weakest weapons. also Tidus uses more spells then just haste and slow. you also don't talk about flexibility which Tidus has thx to his sportsman body.on the other hand you do give Zack all his abilities, and powers. but the Jenova cells don't really effect Zack, so comparing his durability with Clouds avend childeren is just wrong. we all know that Tidus isnt human which you do claim. when in actuality he is a Faith. or at least he is created by a faith. my conclusion is that you prefer Zack over Tidus, which makes you judge things differently.

+A4 Lotus Nope. I give Cloud the win. She might can beat Ashe and while I hate to say it because I like her, she can beat Paine. Lighting seems like a combination of the two with more skill. Ashe's beauty and Paine's tomboy attitude. Anyway, after Tidus and MAYBE Squall, she is outclassed by the other sword users. She doesn't hold a candle to the likes Cloud, Zack, Sephy, Gabranth, and Cecil.
