I don't think Anakin's age was the primary factor in their decision it was just a convenient excuse. Anakin was an incredibly gifted child with potential exceeding Yoda's and qui gon had openly stated his belief that he believed Anakin to be the chosen one of prophecy. Acknowledging that would mean accepting the return of their age old enemy the Sith for starters and Anakin had also demonstrated his deep attachment to his mother already. He was both a potentially difficult student at best and if qui gon was right a sign that the order was wrong about their beliefs the sith were extinct. Might just be my personal take on it but I think denial was the primary motivator behind the initial rejection. Reconsidered after Qui Gon's death woke a number of them up to the severity of the issue at hand.

It's not a complete surprise that Rahm Kota would be the victor of this fight. After his fights in the _Force Unleashed_ franchise, he would've been more prepared for a fighter of Darth Wredd's caliber. Experience is a good teacher. Besides, Kota is said to be a military _genius._ A most interesting match-up, dude. You've really compared these two combatants to a T.

the reason i insist in this fight is because of personal reasons: both lucien and jinn, during their training in the jedi order, strayed from many of the core tenants of the jedi order, but for the same reason: lucien saw his actions as the will of the force to weed out the darkness of the sith and destroy it for good while jinn believed in the idea of the jedi being agents of the living force, seeing its power as neither light or dark, but both. Lucien, the fanatical knigts templar against jinn the ronin-like maverick is a fight i believe to be both epic and general interesting

In my honest opinion, Darth Caedus vs Darth Plagueis is kind of a mismatch. And, it is mostly due to Caedus being: more powerful, more skilled (in both lightsaber combat and the Force), more intelligent as a combatant, and just being better in general. Plagueis was simply disinterested in combat, and did the bare minimum to be proficient in it so that he could effectively participate in it. Nothing more, and nothing less. Plagueis is definitely powerful in his own right, however his lack of interest in improving his skill and combative prowess makes him manageable for the truly top-tier Jedi and Sith. Caedus is one such being.

At first glance, I was only somewhat intrigued but as I continued watching, realized that this matchup is pretty brillaint. 2 human tanks. 1 is a brilliant battlefield general vs a Sith Hunting Edgelord. Going into this, I think this comes down to focus. One is a general combat specialist suited for the battlefield, the other is a Sith Hunter. Edit: Welp, guess I was wrong. Despite being a short, you managed the better flesh out your breakdowns of Kota and Wredd than your full length videos did. 10:18 Cant help but assume your Krayt video lead to your more fleshed out version of your orig theory. Also shows just Krayt is obsessed with order. Rather than leading his followers construct their own personal styles like the Jedi and trad Sith Orders, he basically thinks any of the One Sith will become a mini version of him. While your verdict was different than what I had going in, thinking about this some more it does make sense. Kota might be vulnerable to some of Wredd's shenanigans, but he has experience with Wredd's fighter type with a greater degree of magnitude in Galen Marek. If Kota can deal with Galen Marek, he can deal with Darth Wredd. Also, I know you rank Kota as tier 4 and this breakdown better shows why Wredd is at tier 5.

Levi Sullivan officially, yes. But it’s not unreasonable to assume that Mace Windu had a hand in Kota’s training since Windu was the Order’s reigning master of Form VII. Connor has already gone into more detail at the end of his Post-Motem analysis

When it comes to Form VII, it's said you must have a sufficient level of skill in at least three forms before attempting to study it. I would say Kota knows Shii-Cho, Ataru, and Shien. Ataru's the most obvious because Yoda was a master of the form.

+Watchface These matchups sound interesting. While Anakin is the better swordsmen in single combat, Shan's more developed power and greater variety of force abilities should let her clutch a win. I think Talon is more skilled based on her matchs with Cade (whose contended quite well against Krayt), but her style is super conventional and Jinn would likely figure her out, and counter. On the other hand, Talon uses her force abilities way more proactively and has more powers to work with. Kenobi walls Cade, Cade starts unleashing the force abilities and clutches a win.

On the other hand Bane has struggled against Wildcard opponents in the past, and Cade definitely is a wild card. I would bet on Bane, but Cade contending with and beating Krayt means he can fight opponents that are above his skill level.

Josh Davidson - Cade certainly is the underdog type to pull off these kinds of wins, so I wouldn't rule him out of taking a few rounds. To be fair, Zannah's spells could have the opposite effect and just enrage Cade to the point where he crushes her. Sith spells require the user to be more powerful (raw power) than the individual they're trying to influence as per the Tales of the Jedi Sourcebook, so unless we want to argue that Zannah has more raw power than a Skywalker, I think the result is clear.

Replaying TFU and TFU2, I'm not so convinced that Ataru was part of the styles that made up Kota's Juyo. Shii Cho and Shien are for certain, but there's nothing suggesting Form IV : no acrobatics, no cartwheels, no unarmed combat, no fast aggressive sword play or staple moves like Su Ma rotations or Falling Leaf. Anything resembling leaps or sommersaults can be traced back to Juyo.

Nah. If anything, you have the Mace vs Palp fight all over the again. Mace keeps feeding, Sion keeps channeling until the circuit is overloaded and causes massive force explosion. My question isn't if Mace wins, is if Mace survives the fight.

Mace is far more powerful than Sion to begin with, especially in RotS. So Windu wouldn't need to sink into Vaapad and channel energy in the same way he did against Palpatine. He has continuous quotes declaring parity to Dooku and Yoda, he won't have too much trouble here.

You will definitely dislike the show, but I think you will enjoy the Acolyte character Qimir’s combat style. He has similarities to Wredd, Maul and Exar Kun in the mix of guerrilla tactics, hidden weapons, unarmed combat and force powers he utilizes. It’s just a theory but I view Qimir is a Tier 3 And his lightsaber skills show Juyo with elements of Makashi, Shien, jar Kai and trakata as his foundation. He shows fast paced and aggressive technical swords manship that classic Juyo, the linear fencing attacks and graceful parries and economy of motion of Makashi , he utilizes the reverse grip in the middle of combat and his very skilled in counters and parrying blades with the occasional hack and slash move that’s common in Shien, he shows jar Kai by sometimes employing duel fencing and he has a habit of turning his saber on and off in addition to other “ cheating” tactics like armor. He feels very much like a character with the same skillset as Darth maul but not quite as developed. Yet.

@@TheNuisanceBird While I do agree with that opinion if we were talking about the False Cannon variants (The ones blowing the mouse), I was referring to the more legitimate variants found in the EU. Boba gets very tough to kill as time goes on, especially once he claims the title of Mandalore. While Grievous also gets much more deadly, I see it being very hard for him to kill Fett with his usual tactics once he gets to about mid career (YVH War).

Beskar Armor with joint and neck guards Crush Gauntlets of the same material Flamethrower There's more considering that Fett keeps an armory on Slave I, but that is just off the top of my head. Things like thermal detonators, rockets, mini-missiles, tow lines with cortosis weave (he started using that after Tatooine I believe), 360 HUD, EMP grenades, and yes even the jet pack would all need to be considered. That is also not taking into consideration the entirety of Slave I it self which Fett can call in at the push of a button. And that is just in the weapons and armament section. Personal skill as well as physical conditions would need to be analyzed. I like Grievous, I really do. In fact I think he's an absolute terror who brought an edge to SW that we hadn't really seen up to that point (or after to be honest). But he's not immortal, and has some very obvious flaws, just as Boba has some obvious weak-points. Thus I'd love to see a breakdown on a fight between these two famed jedi hunters.

Boba's armor is not made of Beskar. His gauntlets, flamethrowers, and other equipment would be useless against Grievous who's able to withstand blows from starfighters.

Wredd is a pretty underrated Sith. He represents the true, final end of the Sith in the Legends continuity.

He destroyed the bulk of the one sith order but its not realistically likely he caused the siths extinction. All the most notable (and by extension powerful) sith of the one sith order were never seen in the battle of the floating world. Its much more likely they are still around. If anything the survivors are likely the ones that were most loyal to Nihl and didn't disobey his orders and break cover to kill wredd. Ironically wredd may have actually done Nihl a favour.

Malgus in his prime would unquestionably defeat Galen Marek or his clones( though any of them would acquitt themselves well, they are just to far below him in terms of experience or developed skill ) Malgus after his first duel with cao cen darach would still require some polish. Undisputedly a great warrior and powerful force adept, this incarnation is undeveloped enough to have the dark apprentice be a viable Threat.

@@russ2700 Qui Gon has a lot of advantages in that fight to be fair. His biggest disadvantage is the fact that Kreia is a far superior combative force wielder. He'd essentially have to keep her under the gun the whole time and keep it as a pure lightsaber duel to win. I. Simply see it as more likely she'll be able to break out her powers.
