Excellent explanation of VBI, although I'm not convinced about prolotherapy. Be interested to read more about it though.

Do you guys run any tests for this? Or would I need an MRI first? I’ve had awful symptoms for almost a year now, I actually got into a car accident near oak park. I live in Chicago. I definitely think I have a vestibular disorder, brain tumor, or a pinched artery in my neck. It’s destroying my life. My balance is off. My neck is constantly shaking. I have a journal of symptoms. I went to s nucca chiropractor who took X-rays that show my c1 turned to the left. When I got into the car accident, I was about to make a left turn, and was rear ended.
@CaringmedicalProlotherapy6 жыл бұрын
Hi Rochambeau 21, thank you for reaching out and so sorry to hear about your car accident and subsequent pain and symptoms. This is so common after a car accident, and we would love to help you. We do not necessarily need you to have an MRI done beforehand. If the provider recommends imaging, they would give you an order for the exact type of test during the consultation. There may be a more specific test that would be beneficial for documenting any cervical instability. If you would like to talk more specifically about your case and schedule to see our specialists, please reach out to us directly at info@caringmedical.com or 708-393-8272. Hope to meet you in the office soon!

My 7 month just started dropping his head. So far, blood work, EKG, and CT are clear. He is doing an EEG next week... the pediatric neurologist doesn’t think it’s an actual seizure because he remains perfectly alert during these head drops. He continues playing and doesn’t seem confused after. He doesn’t stare into space. And he is even a little advanced developmentally. Is it possible this could be an issue in infants? If so, do you treat infants?
@CaringmedicalProlotherapy4 жыл бұрын
Hi Christine, Thanks for your question. We are glad that you have been able to rule out some serious concerns with your medical team already. We do not treat infants in our clinic, but perhaps there is a pediatric osteopath or chiropractor who you could consult as well for structural development. We wish you and your baby all the best in health!

@@loveconquersall143 no, just had the prolotherapy done that one time. I can’t quite afford to do it again right now so maybe one. We also found that I have inflammation around c1/c2 but to the right so where all my nerves come into my occipital area. I had a car accident and trauma surround that accident. We think whiplash might be causing that inflammation and causing some of my issues and occipital neuralgia

What kind of therapist are you saying here in this video? I'm asking because my osteopath says I show C1 instability and I also have the dizziness thing. I assumed it was to do with my ears but now I'm tying this in all together. Who are you saying a person should see if they have this?
@CaringmedicalProlotherapy3 жыл бұрын
Hi Wheelchair Geek, Thanks for the question and glad you are looking into some options for resolving upper cervical instability. That's wonderful that your osteopath was able to give you a diagnosis and get you started. The treatment/therapist is Prolotherapy/Prolotherapist. That is for the repair of the injured/lax ligaments which are at the root of cervical instability. We wish you all the best in health and finding the ideal treatment to resolve your upper cervical instability along with your symptoms. Take care.
@petesenn136710 жыл бұрын
Hi, can you please advise me what type of functional MRI I may want to get to diagnose upper cervical instability? I had an ATV accident in June and I am definitely experiencing a lot of the symptoms indicative of cervical instability, particularly upper cervical. I have now had 3 cervical MRIs. One was standing and with flexion and extension. Another was in a 3 Tesla machine with particular attention to the transverse and Alar ligaments. As of now no radiology findings are saying upper cervical instability but yet my symptoms are screaming of that. Can you recommend anything else I can do. As for c-arm fluroscopy I cannot find anyone in my area that does it. I have also had probably 25 various standard x-ray shots of my neck in several different positions. I do have mild c4-c5 instability diagnosed at this point. -Thanks so much
@CaringmedicalProlotherapy10 жыл бұрын
Hi Pete, thanks for your questions and I'm sorry to hear about your accident. More importantly than the MRI is how to get better once cervical instability is known. We would love to help you. In order to help you best, we would have you come in to one of our offices to meet with a Prolotherapist who can do a physical exam, make any necessary recommendation for functional MRI or other test, as well as outline a treatment plan to stimulate repair of the cervical instability. Please email us directly to discuss your case privately and we'll see how we can help you. Thanks for reaching out, and look forward to hearing from you soon.

@@CaringmedicalProlotherapy one day Ill be fixed I'm sure, but I am definitely surviving. Listen to this, The day after I wrote this comment I herniated 1 or more disc's in my lumbar spine, no imaging done yet, but the ER physician did some physical tests and said they believe I did herniate a disc or more, 3 days later I had an appointment with my spine surgeon regarding my neck and we talked about this and he did some more physical tests and also confirmed my fear. This has been ongoing since my reconstructive knee surgery in 2019, losing strength, numbness pins and needles, but now it's constant pressure there and those lovely million individual jolts of electricity that go up my lower back, down into my butt and stop in my hamstrings 😅😅😅

could chiari malformation cause this?
@CaringmedicalProlotherapy7 жыл бұрын
Hi Phil, Thank you for your question. It could be involved. Any MRI abnormality, like Chiari malformation, needs to be assessed with the whole case. In many of the cases we see, upon history and physical exam cervical instability is the cause of the condition. The symptoms started after a whiplash, sports injury, or other trauma, and the Chiari malformation is just an MRI finding. We did a video on this if you are interested: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oorOmISbl7-FY9U Hope it helps, and feel free to reach out to us directly if needed: info@caringmedical.com. Take care.
