Ill be vertical farming in 2 years. I have studied farming for 8 years now and see all the benefits vertical can bring from less labour to less travel, less machinery like tractors trucks and hot weather sweat sore body. Especially doing 100 acres of farming every year. I can see with just 20 to 30 acres I could produce the same amount of crop as when doing 100.

I agree. I work in television and that was a particularly short story for this type of format. Normally their stories are about 7 minutes long and that story easily deserved to be that length. I mean the father was crying that his son had a job but his interview didn't make it to air. I can imagine the reporter and producer argued for longer but the EP was trying to cram too many stories into this episode.

Sure, maybe the solar panels capture more energy per square meter than salad does. But they also cost energy to produce. It costs energy to build powerlines. It costs energy to build vertical farms and produce the materials. Energy wise really not efficient. There are better solutions.

yeah but not all people with disabilities can work and they don't deserve to live in poverty on SSI, with payments that are literally far below the poverty level and which haven't changed in 40 years. not everyone can work themselves to death but that doesn't mean that they don't deserve dignity. we actually can pay disabled people more than a few hundred dollars a month to live on, it's called taxing the people with money. pass it on.
@ediebaxter61942 жыл бұрын
I am mainly stating it was a good idea. I understand not disabled people can work. I had an appeal for social security disability. I got accepted. Unfortunately I can only make a certain amt every month and work part time. The amt does need to increase because it hard to find a job were you can make more money. My granny got social security. It was not much.
