Vertical / Horizontal Adaptive Music in Wwise

In this video I attempt to re-implement the adaptive music system I used in Kameleon, into Wwise. Kameleon is a Flash game showcasing some adaotive music examples, which you can play for free at www.kejero.com

With the horizontal approach, what is happening within those playlists when they are playing? They are collections of short audio files....presumably they are shorter than a loop? Are they arranged in a "linked list", one after the other? Or vertically arranged?

Yeah I like to keep them as short as possible. The shorter each segment, the quicker the music can switch to another playlist. I cover this conceptually in kzbin.info/www/bejne/noqYm6lmq52Aqc0. And I go into a lot more detail in Wwise in episodes 9 and 10 of that video series (although those episodes cover a more advanced horizontal technique, but the basic principles remain the same).
