This is by far one of the most thorough and well thought out tutorials on paper crafting. Not a lot of unnecessary dialog just great concise intelligent instruction. Such a pleasure to watch and follow. If you follow the way it is taught...you will end up with an impressive project.

Thanks for this- I made a cute Halloween mini with this assembly and first positive result. I figured out I do not have patience for tacky tape on the hinges- had to use scotch liquid adhesive so it allowed me enough time to line up page with hinge. Thanks again. Linda
@mysistersscrapper12 жыл бұрын
Laura, the first page, or what I call the inside of the front over is just chipboard, however, I took another paper bag and cut it down to 5 inches so I could use the bag as a pocket for my inside front cover instead of creating a pocket from Cardstock. Then I start with actual pages. I ave the smoothe side facing and attached my flap then when you turn he page it is the backside of the bag that has the pocket at the bottom. So not counting the inside front cover, it is smooth, flap, pocket, etc

Hi, love this album. When you make your flap, do you first make it with a basic cardstock and then cover it or just make it with the decorative cardstock? I used a white cardstock and then covered it as it seemed like it would make it more sturdy. Anyway, I made a mess of the flap. For some reason I measured the width of all of them wrong so they didn't cover the whole opposite page. Also, didn't get the flaps in the gussets straight enough and some look like a sagging door...LOL.

thanks! You will find the information in theVertical Paper Bag Mini Album Series. I had so many requests to show how to create this style of mini album from start to finish that i created a series of videos. I give all of the measurements and information in each video. The series consists of five videos. It is called Vertical Paper Bag Mini Album Series. The first video is broken down into two parts part 1a and 1b.

Yes, I made my flaps from black Cardstock and then matted them with the design paper. I didn't get one of my flaps on quite straight either. I had to use the UnDu to fix it. Thanks for watching!

I'm confused about one thing (for now, anyway) and that's the very first page. Is the first decorated page you show the one with the flap/pocket at the bottom? So, is the back side or smooth side attached to your chipboard cover or is it just attached to the hinge system? It looks like the 2nd page is the smooth side with the flap page, so as you go along is it the back side of the flap, then the next sack with the bottom pocket?, Pocket, smooth, flap, pocket, smooth, flap? Thanks again.

Great idea but your tutorial needs more instructions as to assembly. What you show at the end of 20 minutes doesn't look anything like the example. That is why the viewers have so many questions. Thank you for reading my comment.

I really liked the album, but I was hoping for more teaching in this tutorial. I stopped watching about 1/3 of the way through because I realized you weren't actually constructing the album in the video. This makes it extremely difficult to follow along and remember what you were teaching. I'm not trying to come across in a rude way at all, and I hope this doesn't sound harsh. I guess the bottom line is....it would be better if you'd construct an actual album - complete with binding, instead of sending people elsewhere (you want to keep people in YOUR channel, afterall! :) ).
