'VERY brave': Royal experts react to bombshell Prince Harry and Meghan book | Palace Confidential

Tom Bower’s new biography of Meghan Markle will make the Duke and Duchess of Sussex furious according to one royal expert. The Mail on Sunday’s Charlotte Griffiths says that the couple - and their PR representatives Sunshine Sachs - will be scouring the revelations.
‘They will be going apoplectic about this book,’ she says. ‘They’ll probably be saying ‘oh it’s just noise’ in public, but they be reading every single word. They’ve probably asked someone from Sunshine Sachs to go through it as well to see where they can get their lawyers out.’
The release comes ahead of a busy few months for the Sussexes, who are expected to launch Meghan’s podcast on Spotify, a Netflix docuseries and Prince Harry’s eagerly anticipated memoirs. All are expected to generate multiple headlines, and the Daily Mail’s Royal Editor Rebecca English says she fears what effect the potential negative publicity will have on the Queen.

I am living in the US. Born in California and now living in Arizona. I have been a royal watcher most of my life. My Mom was born in Canada and passed along her love for the English culture. That said, I have seen Harry grow up as a troubled young man. And see now a very bitter middle aged man who realizes he is not and never will be a mover and shaker. He has competed with his brother in many ways and comes out second best. With his marriage he has shown his true feelings and attitudes. His wife could not have changed him as much as we have seen him change. He feels entitled to live as a royal but not have the responsibility of one. Most people can read the true story. Hollywood is a world unto itself and they believe they are the movers and shakers. In reality - they are not. This is just one persons opinion. But you asked for what Americans feel about the duo. I have total respect Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge. Those two are a powerful representative of the Royal family and the United Kingdom.

As an American I have been surprised at the change in Harry's persona from previous years. He seems to be a very whiney and angry man who feels he is entitled to complain about being brought up living a very privileged life. I'm an American, I don't know yet if I will read the book because I'm sick & tired of hearing about Harry & Markle. I used to love Harry when he was a member of the Royal family, but not since he matched up with Markle, I never liked her. I absolutely love the members of the British Royal family, I always have. When Harry ditched his family in such a disrespectful & public way, then talked so terribly about them in the Oprah interview, I was done with Harry! Markle isn't even someone worth talking about. I do see a huge change in Harry since he married Markle, but in a very bad way, that happy and fun loving man is gone. I think while in the UK, Harry was very resentful of William because of his line to the throne and because William is a much loved Prince by the British people & also by the majority of Americans. William is the embodiment of Royalty, it is very obvious.. Harry never could show his resentment toward William in the UK, but now in America Harry is releasing all those emotions and the hatred he has for his father and other Royal members. Harry is looking for sympathy and adulation from Americans now. It may have started off that way, but that has and is totally changing because the majority of Americans love and respect the British Royal family, so Harry's plan to destroy them here in America has backfired on him. I don't believe Harry will ever divorce Markel & return to the UK. Harry has said and done many things to discredit the Royal family since being in America. So I don't see how that could ever be repaired and I don't believe Royal family members could ever trust Harry again. Harry is also so entrenched with Markle, he could never leave now. I am American, and H&M are not popular like others may think. Even within high circles, they are not valued. That is evidenced by the lack of invites to big political events. Outside of the coasts, they tend to get bad reviews. This is largely due to many Americans having strong family ties. Regardless of political views, it is hard for people to stomach how those two have treated their own families and even aired it out publicly. Lastly, Harry needs to stop making comments on our Constitution. He is from a royal family and is tone deaf on speaking to a country that chose a government that was not ruled by a monarchy. My 10x great grandfather, William Bradford, came over on the Mayflower. I am pretty American; everyone I know are fans of the Cambridge’s. I really don’t know anyone who are fans of the Sussexes. I am a proud Progressive Democrat….(the demographic that the media thinks are in line w/them most). I live in Oregon, the state north of California. Meghan has ruined Harry.

Canada here, most people haven’t got a clue who they are or if they do, they just don’t care! We had them here for a few days and no one liked that they wanted us to pay their security! So I think we are happy they aren’t here

This isn't the first controversial unauthorised biography by Tom Bower, and he has already said several times that everything in 'Revenge' was checked and re-checked, and then run past the lawyers, before publication. He's been sued before by other subjects of his books, and has always won. So it seems reasonable to assume that these things are true unless proved otherwise!

i highly doubt there will be any lawsuits regarding his book. a court case would only emphasize what a lowlife she really is. the details have already buried her.

I'm a proud American who is, and will always be grateful to my forefathers that fought for my and my country's independence from England. America is truly my home!!! I also appreciate & admire the Queen for who she is and how she sacrificed to uphold her royal traditions. I find lives of the royals quite interesting, and I'm beyond excited that William and Catherine will be here in December!!! I'm so saddened when I see Harry in pictures, in the news, or on tv/phone. He looks quite miserable, and even if it's a life I'll never understand, growing up a royal was his and he has to be feeling some sense of loss. Of course, it was his choice to leave that way of life. For those of us who have followed Charles, Diana, William and Harry from day one, we too truly only wanted his happiness. This path that he has chosen, however, seems to be on a fast, one way road to ultimate misery. Only a small handful of people from my world ever heard of Meghan. She may have been successful in achieving her goals and reaching financial stability, but she is/was NOT the huge star she's been made out to be in the media. Harry would be wise to follow his grandmother's lead and stay out of America's politics & constitution, that matter was settled 246 years ago. I hope for his benefit, he sees the error of his ways and begins building a better life for his family as he had set out to do!

Just an interest fact of history ... it was the BRITISH settlers in the US who rebelled against their own King, and achieved the break from Great Britain !
