Very Close Lightning Strikes & Loud Thunder - Lightning Barrage in West Bend, WI - 7/26/23

A line of strong thunderstorms originating in the eastern Dakotas pushed through southeastern Wisconsin during the morning hours on July 26th, 2023. I was hit by the "tail-end Charlie" storm, which was an elevated supercell producing an intense lightning barrage. This storm ended up being one of the loudest thunderstorms we've had around here in the last few years, with a couple of the lightning strikes being extremely close. Enjoy!

Very close call indeed for the lightning strikes. Very heavy rain along with the thunderstorm too. We had ours on 7/29 and 7/30 with strong winds.

Hello and thank you for watching!! Yeah, this was one of the most intense lightning barrages to occur at my home in the last few years! I never was able to find any damage from that last strike, but it was definitely incredibly close!
