Jason has matured in amazing ways. I started watching him at the beginning of the pandemic and was struck by his cocktail, know it all attitude. It reminded me of our son who had just moved several states and I missed him so much. I have continued watching and like our son Jason met "the one" and quickly worked on settling down and growing up. He acknowledges those past mistakes often and also his regrets. Now I watch just to see how he and Danielle are building their lives together. All of us have goofed up and should be able to move forward. At the time no names were mentioned but someone started making reply videos about the issue. If that didn't happen and then it turned into a gang issue maybe this would not have happened. I watch all their channels and harbor no ill will to anyone. I would hope everyone could be like that. I'm going to assume you don't know we have a house "in town". Just like the video stated, I went into town to get materials. I then put the meet up location in my GPS and saw it was only an hour from there, so I grabbed merch from the garage and drove to the meet up. I don't know how much clearer I can get than that haha

I have to say that most everyone were kind and nice. I did hear some people upset and gossiping. I was not hurt when people walked by me but more popular channels are bombarded with people and hard to get to. I did get to talk to my favorite people when it calmed down. I did not approach you for the same reason. You get bombarded with people and I would not want to do that to anyone. Don’t stop doing meet ups. I'm not a part of the homesteading community...I just watch some channels. So, I got no dog in the fight here. So, having said that, who gives a crap what other channels do? Is your life any worse off today because Channel X didn't speak to Channel Y? So what if Channel A didnt subscribe to Channel B? Who gives a crap if they didn't say hello to you at a meetup? They aren't paying your bills or feeding your chickens. At the end of the day, everybody has their own place and stuff to do. Would it be great if everyone got along? Sure it would but that's just not gonna happen. Jason, I know you're trying to help here but I don't think this is the way. Either call those people out or let it go. You can't change how others act. You can only control yourself. If these others are a problem, don't invite them to your meet-ups. I will now step down from my soapbox. Carry on, people!

Tim from RidgeLife did a live. As he went around, he interviewed many and I mean many newer KZbinrs and told them to talk about their channel and what they did. Maybe, you felt awkward because you have been away from people for so long. Friends hang with friends. When you got there, you apparently looked up your friends. Mullet boys Mom was interviewed and she seemed very happy. Matt Payne and John from Cold Beer all hanging together. I’m sure the venue changes the feel too. At this venue, people seemed to hang close to their camp. At a hotel, you have to move around more. These are my thoughts as a viewer.

He didn't give me a single negative vibe. As Jason was leaving, someone came up to him saying a lady in a wheelchair wanted to meet him. He went over and talked to her for a long time.

A short story to think about... I once knew an older gentleman who when he entered a room with a group of people, instead of a regular "Hello Everybody!" he would announce "It's a lovely world!" followed with jolly laughter and a big smile! It was always returned by the people in the room. One day I had the opportunity to ask him what happened that started him doing that. He told me his story. He was getting close to being able to retire. Management seemed to start looking for ways to get him to quit. They were relentlessly on him. The harder he tried to please them, the worse they treated him. He loved his job, but hated how they were treating him. Finally he realized the only thing he could change was the way he reacted to their negativity. He decided he would give it his best. At 1st, the "It's a lovely world", the laughter & smile was phoney. At 1st the reactions were silent. But he kept at it. Soon the laughter & smile became real & slowly the responses changed. It worked. When he retired, the congratulations, smiles & handshakes were legit. He kept it up the rest of his life. Wherever he went, people smiled, wanted to get to know him better. He never spoke badly about anyone. He was admired, respected & loved everywhere he went. He was truely a kind and blessed man. Maybe a lesson for all of us in his story.😊 PS: In a way, Tom Howard reminds me of him.

It was a test. The one channel I did watch all the way through, he was so engaging and friendly to everyone. You know him,TOM! Glad you’re seeing what some are seeing from the other side, but this the reason a few people don’t do lives. The Click mentality did not stay in high school. We found out about it actually the evening before and just showed up like you. We brought some things for door prizes and gave them away and had a fantastic time. We didn’t really see any of that but we don’t actually know everyone either. I never really went to bombard the popular channels so I purposely just stayed back and most people just would stop when walking by and talked to us. We met some fantastic folks and may see more of them in Pryor in a couple of weeks. Sorry you had a bad experience...

Jason top of the morning to you. Dude you know the politics that develops when a group gather that has a monetary ladder associated. Competition sometimes overcomes peoples mindset. Probably some see an event like these as opportunity to get closer to higher money making channels to give their channel a boost. Normal human psychology unfortunately. There were clashes that developed around what 9 months or a year ago with other channels that got posted then and others watched, formed opinions and drew lines. Others just being people and that's the way it is unfortunately. I'm disappointed you only posted such a short clip and ended with no actual on site video. Hopefully your friends acted like your friends when you were there. Politics sucks and proved it again. Hope you and Danielle can just keep moving forward and enjoy your future together because that is the most important thing you two have going, right. Everything else will settle itself out over time. Anytime you have a large group of people together there will be all sides of life. The gossipy group, the mean group, the super loving kind group It's human nature. Even going to church is that way, I have personally gone to every kind of "church" available in my area and they all have all types of people.
