Man I want to go there in the rain season. It’s been too dry!

Ya it rained overnight a bit, and on and off the last day that we ran bear pen. But it was crazy dry for the cove. Never seen the water that low.

No. We drove all the way through to the road out the top end. I didn't see any evidence of it being closed. But this was recorded in early May. So it's possible something has happened since then that I'm unaware of...
@jeffreyarmas15485 ай бұрын
hey nice video ! what time of the year did you make this trip that it was so dry ? we are planing to go Ober there in September
@EverymanOverland5 ай бұрын
@@jeffreyarmas1548 thank you! I appreciate you watching... We just made this trip in early May. September I would expect to have more water. Obviously more rain brings more water. If you've seen my other cove videos, or most anyone's cove video, you'll know that the name of the game there is water crossings and likely body damage. So go prepared, don't go alone, and you'll have an amazing trip. We have a very loose, tentative plan to go back in October if I remember correctly. There's a couple more trails out there that we haven't been to. What vehicle do you plan on taking?
@jeffreyarmas15485 ай бұрын
@EverymanOverland nice, I'll be waiting for those videos nothing confirmed yet, but probably a fj cruiser , 4th gen 4runner , tacoma, xterra, gladiator, and 80 series land cruiser . We are driving from Florida, so we are trying to get as much information as possible so we don't miss the trip. I read online that the trail is permanently closed. do you know anything about this?
@EverymanOverland5 ай бұрын
@@jeffreyarmas1548 I've heard that it's closed, but I heard that 6 months ago and we're still going. I think the confusion is there's land owners around the cove that don't want people driving down their roads, so they're trying to close the roads. So I'll hear that certain entrances are closed, but I have yet to see that actually in effect. There's also coalmont ohv next door that has effectively closed off that area, though it's not gated. But if you're going to wheel the trails at coalmont, you should pay them their daily fee, they put a lot of work in. But no, this video was shot in May of 24, it's still very much open and accessible.

@@EverymanOverland mmmm ok ok , sso should be ok with a good map of public land / private property to avoid that issue with the "trail closed"? what do you think is the best (fun) trail to get to the cove ? from south (the church) or from north (almont)? we like rivers, to swim and to do the rivers crossings I really really appreciate your help
