I know the feeling Debbi. I'm very much dependent on my left hand. I couldn't figure out how to flip doing it the opposite direction, but i have found that i can follow these tutorials and enjoy trying my third attempt at crocheting. I say, if I can do it anyone can cause if I ever broke my left arm I'm in serious trouble.

I really love that swatch you made. I'm not good at crocheting though I played with yarn for a long time. I still call myself a beginner. Hi Crystal, I made this and found an extra chain was needed after row one of the shells, starting row two. Mine was bowing on the right side, as the stitches were too tight with just the SC before making the three DCs for the half shell. Also I did the foundation chain in a 6mm hook, then the body of the shells with a 5mm. This kept the bottom straighter with less tension on the chain. Shell row as usual in both loops and then at the end of row one, SC, Chain 2, turn and continue. Hope this is useful for anyone who's scarf/blanket is bowing on the right side. 😊💞
