The thing about kpop, this self-producing idols is fairly a new thing. Even during 3rd gen, idols had to fight for rheir rights to be able to have their own written songs to be included in their discography. It's even harder for the older gens to do that. If half of these kpop idols don't write their songs, it's not like they actually aren't capable. I mean I get that these idols' capability and creativity maybe not as strong as professional producers, lyricist or sound engineers.

i totally agree that if you don't write your own lyrics, you're not a rapper. but in nct dream, all the rappers co-write most of the songs on their music albums. mark, jeno, jaemin and jisung have credits on a large number of songs on b-side tracks. the vocalists of the band are also very popular, i would like chenle to be interested. because he has as unique vocals as the same haechan. he has had concerts and albums since he was a kid, and he has had the least amount of training time?? due to past experience😹

Most other entertainments have some good singers but that is mostly because they were already good singers. A good singer in my eyes is different from a good vocalist. One of the elements most groups in kpop lack. Especially since 4th gen companies started focusing more on dance. Well Nct is a Brand and has 4 different group under it which is NCT 127, NCT DREAM, WAYV (Chinese base) NCT WISH (Japanese base) and there are 26 final members. And together they are NCT U (united) They are different group with different members with different concepts. But Mark and Haechan is in both Nct 127 and Nct Dream. 27:25 i personally don't agree, there are "rappers" in kpop and even in the korean hip hop scene that write their own verses but are awful lyrics, i agree that lyrics are really important for rap verses but is not the only thing, flow? cadence? tone? the best example is YG female rappers, they are not involved in the lyrics (because Yg doesn't let them) but they are among the best in their respective generation. 1. Idol rappers the members of the group that have the rapper position because "all groups need rappers" but are bad rappers, ex: the majority of SM rappers, and a lot of female rappers. 2. Rappers good rappers that may or may not be involved in the lyrics, ex: Taeyong, Mark, YangYang, Chanyeol, Moonbyul, Asa, etc. 3. Real rappers rappers that were part of the underground scene and are top tier rappers, ex: Zico aka the best rapper in kpop, Suga, RM, Joohoney, I.M, Mino, Yezi, Elly, Soyeon, etc. rappers like Han, Changbin and Bobby among others are also in this category because despite they were never part of the underground scene they are among the best rappers in kpop so they deserve it.

there was quite a few bits of misinformation in your twitch comments, i'm just gonna address the couple of things that bothered me most. debut ages were: 14, 14, 16, 16, 16 16, 17. someone said they topped at 16 but mark [as far as dream goes] started at 17. he was 16 for 127. there's two 14s because chenle's birthday hadn't passed yet. they have all seven of them written lyrics several times over, it's just the company doesn't always let the lyrics go through. mark has the highest approval rating [in dream], and haechan has the lowest approval [in dream] but they hall been credited at least a couple of times on their own songs---the biggest nod to this being Rainbow.
