does somebody understand where the cables go in a PowerDisc? It's got go counterweight and it's not a winding drum either ... are the cables just going back to the car from underneath?

The lift has 10:1 cabling. The motor moves 10 meters of cable for each meter the lift moves. On top of the lift the cable wheels for the 10:1 are at the side of the lift, with the cables only passing across the lift car once. Underneath the lift is a second set of cable wheels just for the purpose of wrapping up the loose end of the cables after it has passed the motor. These wrapped cables then finish on a tensioning weight that joins the end of the cables supporting the lift to the end of the cables wrapped under, so that the entire thing, especially the wrapped cables, stay tensioned so that the traction of the motor still works without the cables going loose.
