Hello! Lovely to see you😊 great to hear you had a little chat with your family, sometimes people just need to be made aware, my hubby was ‘clutter’ blind, he genuinely didn’t notice things. He’s a lot better now but still has blind spots. Still I’ll take improvement any day. Oh blimey,your dad probably thinks he’s bringing you lots of useful items but in fact he’s adding to your load in many ways. 🫤 Always lovely to see you.😊😊

Yes same with my husband. I thought he was doing it purposely. Stepping over junk mail rather than picking it up but the truth was he just didn't see it. How are you feeling?

@@gettingtidy2495I’m sad to say I still feel throughly grotty, slightly better but still very wheezy and breathless despite my 3rd course of antibiotics and steroids, they both finish on Monday, then chest X-ray Wednesday. My blood test showed very high markers for inflammation and infection so now I’ve been referred to hospital. 5 weeks now, crazy. Thank you so much for asking though. Appreciate that.🥰🥰🥰xx

Look how much easier it is to get your kitchen back into shape after a meal. Well done on the family meeting not easy but so needed and often 😂 dont accept things from your dad you dont need. You not clearing space to clutter it up again. Youre clearing it so your home functions better for you. Xx oh no on the radiator, hows the toilet. Great job Dad on the bathrooms. Yes you're right. I'm not clearing space to fill it. He did give me a step up which I thought was a good idea for my daughter to reach in her wardrobe and get her own clothes.... The toilet was fixed today so it now flushes. But the two parts no longer join because of a donut (?) so all I can see is brown rust stains which looks lovely on toilets.... Have a good weekend ☺️

That was brilliant comparing what your daughter has been asked to do against what one of her friends, the same age, is expected to do for the same amount of money. I realize she shares the load with her younger sister, but that is quite a lot of chores for them to complete. So, your daughter shouldn't complain when you decide to add an additional chore to her list, as time goes on. Also, good that your husband is accepting he should be more accountable as well. And keeping up the kitchen makes it so much easier to maintain, before and after meals. You're definitely getting tidier. 🤗

Yes they are doing a lot. There are two of them but it's a house of four to do all the washing up for the evening meal. I thought they did their own plate but no all of the saucepans etc too. Also they tidy and clean the table. I asked if she'd like to swap chores 🤣. I think she's realised how easy she has it!!

Great idea to explain to your daughter what other children are expected to do. And you really are doing her a favour - these are important life lessons. You don’t usually get something for nothing and throughout your life you will have to do tiresome jobs. Sounds like your next big challenge might be explaining very carefully to your Dad that whilst you are delighted to take specific items for your Guides activities you really have so many things in your house already that you can’t really accommodate any more, though you very much appreciate his generously thinking of you.
