The 500 Pa isn't really that much of a problem, if you get one more and place it somewhere else. That would essentially create a push-pull setup, which is used in PC Cooling sometimes to get a tad bit extra airflow. In PC's it doesn't give that much more (given the fans sit abut 1" from each other in distance), but in something like this, a fan at the start at the machine, can provide the initial, direct exhaust from the laser cabinet and then the other fan can be placed further down the line, to boost the pressure up again, so the airflow keeps on moving.

Been looking at the same route, but with filters. Hyper fans have high static pressure and are designed to pull through a carbon filter. I'm hoping it'll do the trick and be a lot cheaper than off the shelf fume extraction unit

Hi, thanks for the video, very helpful. Do you have any issues with cleaning the internals of the fan? I currently use the standard Chinese metal fan like the one you have in this video. I cut a lot of wood with it, and it needs cleaning quite often. Hoping this quiet fan is ok to clean?

I have question on your set up because it is similar to mine regarding how you are exhausting out. Using your number of 500pa, if we are pulling out this amount of pressure then we need that much fresh air coming in from somewhere. I only have the overhead door and the man door next to it. So by blowing it out and sucking it in with in the same area, How much am I really going to exhaust out without bring it back in?? I planned on building a 2x6 frame for under my shop door, but now am concerned about sucking it right back in.
