Ooh! This is my EXACT setup! My vent to the outside is in my laundry room, through what was going to be the dryer vent (don't have a dryer, so that worked out nicely)These adapters work PERFECTLY and are sooo snug! 4" out of the GF, into the 6" fan, out the fan and into the dryer vent. No smell except when i open the machine.

One last question. Do you have to mount the fan to the wall as per the instructions or okay to leave as it?
@sssfaces2 жыл бұрын
@@amael1224 Mine is on the floor 🤷🏾♀️. I wasn't drilling holes in my wall for it, but it's a tiled floor and doesn't get moved or kicked or anything so that's fine for my setup.

I’ve never mounted mine. I put double sided tape underneath though because it started to vibrate and move a little.

Has anyone pointed out your only as good as your weakest link, so if your smallest inlet or out is 4" at those points you have a bottle neck and flow is reduces so you wouldn't want to go from 6" to 4" if you can help it, but if right away you go from 2" to 4" to 6" and only increase and never step back down then flow can only keep increasing.

I went from 4" to 6" into the ac infinity. Then I kept it 6" out, so it doesn't bottleneck. It makes the glowforge bed area nearly smoke free. I also bought this guy's glowforge exhaust extender and it works great.

Do you make (or would you consider making) a machine-side adapter for the xTool P2? I'm purchasing the 6" fan, your awesome adapters, and the recommended 4" hoses, but it looks like the xTool P2 might have one of those annoying easy-to-slip-off connector. The nice thing about the xTool p2 is that it has a square four-screw removable exhaust connector, so it's possible you could model it so it goes from the fan to the various hose sizes.

I am looking at a CO2 laser with an 34” x 51” bed. What distance can I run an exhaust hose up at out a window from the unit? Thanks.

Very cool, loved the presentation! Have you considered possibly designing and selling your own fan system? Perhaps something a step down in price point from the premium AC Infinity lineup. It seems like you've taken care of everything related to the exhaust, except for the fan. Perhaps your fann's chassis could be designed so that it can optionally integrate with the window insert. Just throwing ideas at the wall. Keep it up! 👍👍👍

Did the in-line fan reduce Oder? I just got the AC Infinity CLOUDLINE S6 on Amazon and my office smells worse than when my GlowForge filter was full! 🤦🏻♀️ I don’t know if my in-line fan is just not working properly or if this is what I am Supposed to expect, a smelly office!! 😫

I just purchased your adapters (4" to 6") and the extender to go with my newly purchased GF (waiting for delivery). I'm planning on my fan sitting directly behind and parallel to my GF (meaning, the exhaust from the GF will take a quick 90 degree turn into the fan). After exiting the fan, the exhaust will need to do down (under the table) and then take another 90 degree turn to exit the garage wall to the exterior. In total, that is three 90 degree turns in less than eight feet. Do you anticipate that being a problem?
@MartinsonManufacturing2 жыл бұрын
Hey James, it’s awesome to hear you’re getting all set up. You should be all good with that setup. I don’t anticipate that being an issue.

I would say only if you’re using an 8” fan or larger.

Hi. I bought your extenders., hose and 6” infinity fan. But do I need to set up Internally the fan? The fan instructions says that u need to turn the fan? Just curious.
@MartinsonManufacturing2 жыл бұрын
You just need to plug in the controller and make sure the arrows on the fan are pointing towards your window and that’s it. Also, you can go into the settings on the Glowforge app and toggle on the switch that says Glowforge air filter attached. This will turn the internal fan off and just let your external fan do all the work.
@amael12242 жыл бұрын
@@MartinsonManufacturing no one really goes into details regarding turning off the internal fan etc. Your black extenders and the white connector to the black hose are a perfect fit! I ordered through Amazon and received the following day. thank you for this video and response.
