This Silly Tuk Tuk Tricyle "MAN" Driver whom for some stupid reason decided to test the patience of the Armed Officers. He causally drops and picks up Tourists from Horse Guards played a very Loud Music and Caused the Horse SERIOUS Anxiety and the Guard "Boxmen" almost fell/thrown Off his Horse . Horse was Anxious throughout and couldn't wait to return to the stables.
This incidence is just so despicable, thank goodness the Guard was alright and also controlled the Horse perfectly with the help of the two troopers.

The guards are for public relations with the visitors . You don’t need horses and guards in full ceremonial kit to ‘’guard ‘’ the barracks. It’s bad PR to lock up the tourist. Just listen to some of the public comments when a Guard yells ‘’make way’’ . Total lack of awareness and good manners by the people but you can’t lock up every fool out there.

I think the time has come to get the tourists out of this area and let the guards do their job. No more stupid photos with tourists and their stupid hand gestures and unacceptable behaviour. As I have often commented this is the only job where harassment in the workplace is tolerated. As for people who think the horse guards don't know about horses they should shut up less they look more stupid than they do taking photographs. Each week more and more tourists are not following any directions either from the police, the staff or the guards. So ban them all; its the only way to protect these men and women who serve the UK with distinguished service. That old adage give them (tourists) and inch and they will take a mile comes to mind.. I am beyond angry watching this from my side of the world.🤬🤬🤬

I have come to the conclusion that it's time to stop problems there by removing the photo ops. Create a safe space for the horses and guards on duty. The behavior has gotten worse and worse (thank you tic tok). This would help with the crowding and swarming of the horses, the excessive touching of the horses and the attention seeking stunts to a large degree. I'm also concerned about the chaos, crowds and confusion there and the potential for terrorist event. All school groups should have to report to a rep/docent there to keep them under control and to understand the rules because God knows their chaperones are on vacation and not supervising at all.

My reasons - they are tacky, they are noisy with their loud music and they do not fit in with the environment. I am more interested in the welfare of the horses and their men than these contraptions. The horses are trained for many things but not for that loud, starling music.

Its the visitors that buy the tickets to visit the museum that supports the Horse Guard. Those ponies are trained to go into crowds and to put up with a lot. As with all horses some have different temperaments. @@amandaspellman7536

I don’t see why people should touch , pet a service animal. Guide dogs you don’t pet or interact with they have a job to do. Protect that person. The horses are working and people petting and irritating them keeps the horse from its job. So many people, traffic noises and just standing there is a lot. The horse having a hard time is a danger to the rider and visitors. Just replace him for the day. If he needs to be retrained then do so. There has to be a reason the horse was acting like that.

However while I do get the Brits good will gesture by letting tourists pet the horses and will continue to have the upmost respect for the guards. I think there should be a box around the horse for safety. I’m saying this as a person with horses and horse experience. Even with the best training available, some do appear sour and bored, which can result in the mouthy/biting behavior.

Clearly the horse had had enough of whatever was bothering him. I noticed one of those wheel carts, or whatever they're called, not long before it started up the 2nd time. They look to have an e-bike of some sort on the front. Do they make some sort of sound that maybe the horse can hear but we humans can't? Every time I've seen them show up there outside the horse guards, I've seen the Armed Police chasing them off. Some of those sold here in the US (e-bikes) have cautionary notices in their ads and sites about noises that, "can distress dogs, horses,.." Or, wording along those lines. No wonder the Armed Police are chasing them off!

I was in Oxford Street when my friend heard two ladies asking the price of a tuk tuk. The guy said '£120' to travel less than a mile. My friend spoke up, the guy dropped the price to £80. My friend told the ladies they could walk and it would take 30-40 minutes. The ladies decided to walk. The guy shouted a lot of abuse at my friend and was quite rude. Ban them!

They should have cleared the are of tourists around the horses box also. This could cause anxiety in the horse facing so many people taking photos. I bet if the area had been cleared the horse may have gone in without any issues. The Tuc Tuc man needs to have his licence revoked for doing what he did. The police can easily find him and take away his licence. I hope they do that I really do. Plus when did we turn into another country with Tuc tucs, horse and carriage yes but not Tuc tucs, come on people let’s start writing petitions about them and being able to park outside near the horses, should never have been allowed permission to do that.

The guard holding the bit needed to led go. You NEVER EVER HOLD A HORSE BY THE BIT. You hold by two reins as soon as the horse started to back up they he needed to let go. The people should use the brains that the good Lord gave them and back up with out being told when the horse is upset. ❤

If you looked more closely he was holding both reins NEAR the bit. When the horse started to pull back the soldier held on then let go. On change over the horse was not in the box but standing in the foreground patiently waiting for the other horse to arrive so that both riders could dismount together and duty over. You are entitled to your opinions but the good Lord would never give his permission to think you are more knowledgeable than others to insult.

Are you serious? Are you implying the soldiers of the cavalry regiment are not competent to handle the horses? I'm sure he is very familiar with each animal and a very accomplished handler. I wouldnt be surprised if he "ears, drinks and sleeps" very near the stables. You do, in fact take the reins which are attached to the bit and which aid in control of the animal!

Someone implied it’s okay to hold where the bit is but the soldier pulled it so hard the horse spooked because it hurt him. It happened several times and I can honestly say that is the only time I’ve seen that tactic employed and than goodness for that.

Hello from Spain, when a horse is having a difficult time, why are the sheep allowed to stand in the courtyard? They should all be removed. It can't help the horse or rider when sheep are stood around taking pictures, being in the way, making a lot of noise and moving around, making the horse even more nervous. Get them out. They shouldn't be in the courtyard during change-over. They don't do what is asked of them, so don't let them be there in the 1st place. It's total disrespect towards the working guards, but it's like the bosses don't want to upset the sheep, so they continually get away with this type of behaviour.

It literally breaks my heart to see these horses in constant bit pain...then, accosted by nasty strangers and mischief makers.

@@ninamoores yes...I know they don't have it in long stretches of time but they're hard and impede their tongue and I'm a big baby seeing them...all the head shaking and inability to really close or open their mouths bothers me...maybe more than the horses.

Feel sorry for the horse when they get unsettled and the guard is good stay put , aswell as two soldiers who helped. The have respect 😊😅😂❤

Poor horse and guard. People are idiots. Don't they understand an agitated or frightened horse could bolt and trample them? These horses are amazingly patient. Very sad sight!!! Arrest them for animal abuse!!
