It's great in a role playing heavy campaign/series of sessions. In addition, at level 14 if you grab tenser's transformation and start whispering things get very deadly

Yea, I agree that Bards in general have a lot of utility to mess around with when in a role play heavy situation and that the Whispers College goes all in on that!

Hey! You sneaked into my recommendations and I can't be more glad. Your videos are fun and it's more than obvious that you have a lot of fun making them! Love this sub-class based series. Keep it up!

I just imagine chris hansen being a whisper bard asking people to "take a seat" after having a one minute conversation.

Words of Terror
@funnyblog100 Жыл бұрын
I've played a college of whispers bard and took the sharpshooter feat. He quickly became terrifying and the gm would always try to take him out first in combat as he became one of the biggest threats. He killed enough enemies to fill entire graveyards. This was all by the time he became level 5.

Words of terror and vicious mockery would be a rad combination for roleplaying and for gameplay

Do a video on Dirge Singer next. There's only one video on that subclass; we need more. It's also the bardiest of all bards as it boosts allies' damage output and puts them in the leadership role.
@Greyscales4 жыл бұрын
I will probably stick to the Official Fifth edition subclasses for the foreseeable future, but thank you for the suggestion!

Ooooh, this has got to be the class for my upcoming lawyer character, love the quick summary :) I might be a little fucked up but I doubt the party will complain as long as I can get our clients to sign the extortionate, jargon-filled contracts I write up

@@Greyscales I feel that so bad, basically all my characters start off as someone from a book I've been reading then grow from there :) It usually ends up FAIRLY original by the time I've spent some time thinking about it and growing as I play em to fit into the campaign, I think it's a nice way to get the basis of a character

What multi-class would you recommend for this college? Outside of Rogue of course, would any of the Warlocks work well in conjuction?
@Greyscales3 жыл бұрын
Yes, Warlocks work well with Bards since they both use Charisma as their Spellcasting ability. However, I would recommend only multi-classing if you have a very specific build in mind or if there is a Role-playing reason for it. Sorcerers also work pretty well since both classes will contribute to your normal Spell Slots that you get per level, and being able to access Metamagic as a bard can be very cool!

Great vid, keep it up! Only feedback would be that you could maybe make your voice clearer. Maybe a better mic or just using the one you have in a more correct way? also removing the breathing parts of your recording along with adding a compressor to your voice would do wonders. Keep up the good work!
@Greyscales4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the support and feedback man! The thing about my audio is that I actually don't have a mic, I use my phone for recording since I just do these videos in my spare time. However, I will try to learn how to use better audio techniques in Audacity that will hopefully reduce my breathing. I also noticed that the audio sounds better on desktop speakers rather than with headphones or on mobile devices, I'm not sure why it's like that. But thank you for the feedback and I will try to continue making better videos!

hey there’s a lot of good information here but you speak really fast and it’s very hard for me to understand and process (i had to pause every few seconds because even the auto generated captions couldn’t pick up some things you said) and i just wanted to suggest maybe adding captions or talking slower in the future? I love your illustrations and organization and how you get to the point, it’s just hard to process
@Greyscales3 жыл бұрын
Hey Redspire, I absolutely agree that I speak too quickly when reading from scripts! It's just that when recording I forget to regulate my tempo and speaking to myself is something I'm not used to. But thank you for the feedback and I hope in the future I can sound more natural!
