Voice Acting and Acting are very different, Acting focuses more on projecting your voice and showing the emotions on your face, Voice Acting focuses more on portraying the right amount of an emotion in your voice and making sure your voice is consistently in character while recording. A lot of actors dont understand that difference but still gets hired because they're already a famous actor. Its unfortunate really, there are so many voice actors that would do better than Chris, even if the Voice Actor that has played Mario for the past 30 years didnt want to voice Mario in the movie, there are so many Voice Actors that would be willing to take the role and would be better than Chris :/. Sorry about the ramble, as an aspiring Voice Actor its frustrating to see potential roles be taken from Voice Actors just because an Actor's name has some pre-existing star power behind it.

Holy shit exactly. This happened to one of the casts in an anime I really like (Trese). In the Tagalog (Filipino) dub, they casted a really famous (and great, btw) actress here in the Philippines and ohmygod it was probably the worse decision ever. Her voice was so monotone and emotionless it made me want to watch the original dub instead. It sucks cause she's a really great actress, but I guess she's just not fit for voice acting

I'm a complete VO nerd (though I have no talent for it myself), and 100%. Almost all voice actors can also stage or screen act (and need to, more often now, in the mocap world), but a famous actor coming in and being able to do VO is rare as shit. I hate it when big names get cast in animation just for the name recognition when I could run down a list of VO talent could do the job ten times better.

To the first advice segment person, I literally felt the exact same way about my BA. I made the decision this spring to stop pursuing vet school to be a vet tech instead and I feel so much better about my life ahead of me. A four year degree is such a joke when it comes to vet school (at least it is for the school I went to). I had to take so many classes that didn’t seem to matter, and then the classes that did matter didn’t feel like it was fully preparing me for vet school. If you’re happy being a vet tech, stick with it!! They are the nurses of the animal field and are so important. It doesn’t matter what everyone else wants for you. As long as you’re happy, that’s all that matters

from one ADHD college student to another: if you’ve taken time away from school and realized that you don’t want to finish it whatsoever, that is okay!! non-ADHD folks don’t know just how near-impossible it is for a completely demotivated ADHD person to attempt school. it feels like your mind pulls out all the stops to get you to avoid and abandon your coursework-brain fog, frequent fatigue, anxiety responses, psychosomatic aches and pains/illness, etc. I felt all of these during my first four semesters pre-diagnosis as i was failing, so I took about three years off to just work full time like you. I’m now re-enrolled and doing much better (after therapy, medication, and developing several self-management strategies), because having that time away really did help me figure out whether I wanted to go back or not and try again. at the end of the day we know ourselves best and if you know that you don’t need or want a degree, you can enjoy life without it! unnecessary school

Bean Jessica - my dad passed in July from corona complications. He was the exact same way as your mother in the way you described - he never respected me or my FTM transition, not even once. Even still, it hurts to lose a parent, especially knowing how callous he was to the safety of others. If your gender isn’t something you can express to your mother and receive the respect you deserve, I would advise against it, honestly. One of my biggest regrets was demanding respect from an abusive parent. I would wait until you have independence from your mother to “come out.” As far as the mask mandate goes, your health is worth far more than the controlling ego of your bigoted parent or the kids around you at school. I would advise looking into a way where a different family member or trusted adult could help you get vaccinated.

Kurtis! I kid you not, I used to live in the sway house.... my ex grew up in that house and rented it out to them. I showed him your video and he spit out his drink--- He's not huge on social media, and doesn't have tiktok. He said that he constantly got complaints from the neighbors because they would be too loud or they would park cars in the street and block the road to use the garage as a gym. lol. Now there's another collective in the house, around 20 people.
