I have scoot and kickstar shaft is locked solid. Wont move. Customer rode it for 5kms. I pull engine appart and nothing seized. I just rebuilt engine seals gearcroas and kick start gear. Anyway. Ill inspect everything again later. This never happened to me before. 😢

If only vespa used a bolt that didn't have thread where it sits in the groove, this would be avoided wouldn't it?

Whats vespa, whats original, whats replica. I my opinion kickstarter with not soft enough screws (or if it was replaced at a certain time) cause the damage cause standard screws do ankle a bit
