Vespa GTS 300 Polini variator rollers type dr Pulley changing (Polini maxi Hi speed 9 rollers)
In the video you will see a change of rollers of variator Polini maxi hi speed 9 rollers. In the Polini variator I put sliders like Dr. Pulley's, but from another company, because I didn't find the same size. In my next experiment with changing rollers, I put original rolls of the Polini variator weighing 10.1 grams.

Ever tried j-costa vario? Maybe better than polini 9 roller?

I have collected quite a few opinions from my friends who had the Vespa GTS 300 J Costa vario and they all complained about broken belts and fast-wearing pins. I have driven their GTS and compared to my GTS 300 I can say that I like the Polini variator better in terms of behavior.

Did you get more acceleration with the lower weights? How did it feal when driving 110km/h? I guess the weight that came with the polini varator is tuned for the engine peaak power. That would then mean you might not get more acceleration from putting lower weights. I have the Polini 6 roller evolution variator. It has 6 20x17 rollers I have a set of polini 15.6gr rollers. Is it worth trying them or should i stay with the 17gr that came with the vatiator?

On my Vespa GTS 300, I have installed a Polini maxi Hi speed variator with 9 rollers. Originally, this variator comes with 9.2 g weights, as it is intended for the Vespa GTS 250, and the weights for the GTS 300 are 10.1 g. Initially, I rode with 9.2 g, but the engine was sharper and more forced, so I changed the weights to 10.1 g. The scooter became - fluent. After I changed the wheels from 12" to 13" the engine felt even smoother and unloaded. If you are looking for better acceleration, you can put the lighter 15.6g weights, if you want the engine to be more unloaded and you drive more out of town, I would recommend using the 17g weights. I am going to install them. SIp has a new SIP/Malossi variator with 15gr weigts so i have time to try if i can get better acceleration. I have ordered the sip Porodi exhaust and have earlier put better clutch, torque driver. Also installed Polini air filter. This could maybe change where the engine makes peak power and the lower weights might just be right? Any way i am not interested in more top speed. I want fast at the traffic light and going trough traffic. I was looking for weights 20x17 17g sliding style. But could not find it. Dr Pulley did not seem to make them. Thanks for your Videos. Hello, I am currently using Polini 9roll 9.2g. but it does not reach high speeds. Do you think I should wear 10.1g Polini? Or DR Pulley 13.5g 6roll?

Hello, if you are in a Vespa HPE 300 there is a switch at 130km/h according to the rotation of the wheel. I'm currently with 10.1g polyline rollers, having also put on 13" rims. My speed has not changed by mileage, probably slightly increased due to the larger diameter of the 13" rims. When I had 9.2 g rollers, the engine of my Vespa GTS 300 was more forced and the scooter started at higher revs. The 9.2g pulleys of the Polini Maxi Hi Speed variator with 9 pulleys are intended for the Vespa gts 250, and for the Vespa GTS 300 the correct pulley weight is 10.1g. Thus, the engine will work in optimal revolutions for its cubic capacity. If you are not with HPE 300 with an increase in the weight of the rollers you will also have an increase in the maximum speed. Greetings!

I renewed the front variator with the original Vespa product. all the bad sounds are gone. but the variator is very noisy, the decibel, the volume has increased too much. It's like I just installed a new abrovic exhaust. o Little marble, could the marbles be faulty? 30,000 km 2013 years.

Hello, probably the problem is in the rollers of the variator. When you remove it, see if they have clearance in their sockets and if their direction of installation is respected, this is also very important.

Because Dr-Pulley does not have this size of rollers. Separately, the sets of other pulleys have 6 sliders, not 9.
