vespa OIL PUMP reset trick - 1st ENGINE START after service / FMPguides - Solid PASSion /

no 2stroke fuel mixture needed! freshly serviced, oil pump not delievering oil but HOW do i start the engine now?!
you need to refuel with 2stroke mixture!! do you? do you need to stink around with double oil mixture (where u cant set the carburettor right) only cause the pump needs a few km to deliver 100% oil? NO. you DONT. see here how you do it.

I also did a test.... it worked out at 20mm per mum whilst on fast tickover

Zusätzliche Möglichkeit: Mit Küchenpapier Öltankeinfüllöffnung abdecken, Loch reinmachen, Mund dagegen pressen und reinpusten. Schlauch erst überstülpen, wenn im Schlauch keine Luft mehr ist.

Does the bubble go away on its own or does it just stay there? I tried bleeding the oil pump, and it would go away then come back! Obviously the pump works because I’ve got solid oil flow from the pump to the carb. But I was just worried about that air bubble between the oil tank and the oil pump.

should go aways yes, otherwise you are sucking air in somewhere...

Removed carb about 4 times and still getting fricken autolube oil leaking out mixture screw at back of carb box then drips down rear case.......any tips or should I remove completely and premix? cheers

Does that bubble go away on its own? I just replaced the lines on my Vespa and I got this bubble I can’t get rid of between the oil tank and oil pump. Bled the pump, bubble went away, but then came back. Does it go away on its own? Oil is flowing without bubbles between pump and carb.

It usually does go away yes. Sucked in, which doesnt matter, no worries enough oil available. It would mean sthg is sthg not tight when air comes in..
