Tommy, again great attention to detail and your explanation of how and why to do things on the assembly is wonderful.

Watching from Indonesia, great work man, could you do a review of your engine stand?
@smallborecorpsАй бұрын
I made the engine stand with some square tubing and old vehicle laptop mounts I had laying around at work.

Great video, for some reason I am distracted by the sound of your breathing. You have a sensitive microphone. Very impressive garage and tools, this is how one should be organized to rebuilt scooter engines! Especially the custom built support
@smallborecorps7 ай бұрын
It's strange, sometimes it is sensitive enough that it picks up my breathing and most of the time it isn't. Either way I'm glad you're enjoying them.

@@smallborecorps Yes and don’t be too hard on yourself i.e. « long and boring » people like myself enjoys the level of details I was completely focused on your video all the way (I fall a bit in the spectrum of light Autism)

Amazing video. It will be an invaluable resource when I do my rebuild. My main concern is having the proper tools to do the job. Do you have a list of the tools required?
@smallborecorps8 ай бұрын
I don't have a list but if you are only looking to build just one engine. Scooter Mercato has tool sets you can rent. They also sell each tool individually.

Hey great video … I’ve got a T5 to rebuild.. is it basically the same?
@smallborecorps10 ай бұрын
I have never rebuilt a T5 motor before but they do look very similar.

22:36 do we need the nee o-rings if my kit doesnt come with it?

Is there a torque setting for the cylinder studs? Not the head nuts, but the studs themselves before the cylinder is put on.
@smallborecorps2 ай бұрын
There is no torque setting for the studs. Just have them stick out enough so that you can bolt everything back together. I usually measure them before I remove them and reinstall with some blue loctite so that they don't keep spinning when you go to torque the head down.

It’s funny, one minute into the video… “Here’s the new Cosa clutch” ….. I was looking to rebuild mine, but it not truly worth it. So I’ll be buying probably that exact same clutch from Marcato…..
@reginaldchesterfield811011 ай бұрын
Mannnnn… this video was intense. How long did it actually take you to do all that?
@smallborecorps11 ай бұрын
It took about two nights of work/recording to make this video.

Do not flatten the rivet , put the rivet in the hole lay flat on vice and use round end of hammer go around outside edge of rivet till you have nice looking head! It is bad to show the world how to do it wrong! Just saying!!!
@smallborecorps11 ай бұрын
They are flat from the factory and if you do not flatten them, they will hit the main crank bearing when it spins. If you are going to tell the world that I’m doing it wrong. You should have at least done it once yourself. 🤦🏻♂️
