Troubleshoot a Faulty Fuel Pump in a Modern Vespa GTS 250

My 2009 gts250 just had the fuel pump replaced. It was covered under a recall. Which was a very good thing. It was the original fuel pump. It had gotten into the habit of not starting after I rode it and got the engine up to temperature. Then if I shut it down, it wouldn't restart until the engine cooled. Once it cooled then it would fire right up. But I didn't know when it would finally die permanently. Better to get it swapped out as soon as possible.

Besides the 2009 Vespa gts250 I have two honda metropolitans. I bought them new in 2009. The honda's are so reliable, unlike the Vespa. Of course the metropolitan's are only 49cc. So I wanted something bigger. If Honda would have made the metropolitan with a 125cc or 150cc I would have bought that instead of the Vespa. With the Vespa I think that you are paying more for the name and with that price, you deserve more than what Vespa can deliver. But, they sure look pretty when you have them back together. Lol

My 2021 Vespa sprint 50cc fuel pump gave out after 80 miles and the dealer said they’re getting a lot of fuel pump issues I wonder if robot had the same experience

2011 vespa lx 150 ie crank no start. All fuse good, fuel pump work , spark plug work, key good , take off injector cable and Spray with starring fluid no start . Go to mechanic after $800 compression 110 and told me new head.

I bought a 2007 gts250ie and it won't start. It will run with starting fluid. I checked the voltage where you did but mine reads 10.58. I have a new battery and it cranks over just fine. Why only 10.58 volts.

I have a 2021 GTS Supertech with a bad fuel sender? The low fuel light is on with a full tank of gas covering the dash area that shows turn by turn navigation so I can’t use that function. Apparently my scoot is the 4th with the same issue at that dealership. It’s covered under warranty but I’ve been told there is a parts delay so this must be a wide spread issue. Could you do a vlog on the issue and what’s involved in the repair. Thanks!

If anybody has a clue about the issue my scooter has, i can't find the fix: a 2012 Piaggio MP3 125cc with fuel injection and only 800km on it (it sat in a garage for years). I did the following with no impovement : replaced spark plug, drained oil, new oil filter, new lipo battery, adding injector cleaner to the gasoline. When it's cold, it starts *perfectly every morning*, and it will even start 10 times a day *if not driven* (even warmed up!). However, *once it has been driven for any length of time*, whether it's 5 minutes or 2 hours (and it runs very nicely with good power), *it won't start again when it's hot and has been driven.* Sometimes, it actually does start a second time with a longer cranking period but then dies off after 10 to 60 seconds, and after that, it won't start at all until the next morning. I would appreciate any help to get me on the right path to fix this issue

I can’t get to start my Fly 125 ie. Fuel pump isn’t getting any power. Relay works fine. The fuel guage and low fuel light also not working. All other electric work and engine is turning. Any ideas what the issue could be? Thank you!

My gts super sport 2013, will at times, just lose all power, usually at approx 60-65 mph, only for about 2-3 seconds, could this be pump

Be great to know how many of your New Vespa GTS 300's have had fuel pump issues. My 2022 with 300 miles has failed here in the UK. Are you replacing many on the recalls ? A video would be great as no one seems to be able to say why they fail (Inc Vespa). Keep the awesome content coming, such a fantastic, informative channel.

Hi Robot, I have a problem with a fuel pump on Piaggio Carnaby 300ie, after longer ride on hot days when I turn off the engine, it won't start again (fuel pump doesn't make sound bzzzz) untill it is cool down. To change it, do I have to remove side fairings to reach it, or just helmet compartment plastic?

No adjustment on nearly all fuel injected Vespa scooters, it’s controlled by the ECU
