Halil C agree. vue near my house has uncomfortable, cramped seating, but they offer VIP seating which is still shitty, that whole cinema looked like it had VIP+++++ seating but you didn't have to pay like £3 extra.

Halil C It depends where you go in the UK because in some places in the UK ticket prices are significantly higher. Here in Yorkshire it's about £8 a ticket for an adult? Further south it can run up to almost £20 and the quality is no different, which is absolutely ridiculous.

The US is behind in the reservations department. I bought reserved seats at cinemas in Hong Kong in the 90s. There is one interesting technology that I saw online, but have never seen in practice: ticketless theaters, no tickets, no ticket takers. The deal is that there are sensors in the seats, and the customer knows his seat number, so he walks right into the theater and sits down in his assigned seat for a particular performance. Anyone who tries to get in without a right to a seat would set off the sensor because the system knows which seats should be occupied and vacant, and the theater would ask him to leave.
