PLEASE don't buy from pet shops. Always, if you buy a dog, arrange to meet the mom and dad and see the facilities. Otherwise don't do it!

Dr. Scott's kindness extends to his patients and their families alike. I really enjoy watching him patiently work with them, because it's very clear that he cares so much about everyone who walks through his door. If only human medical doctors had even a sliver of his bedside manner!

I don't like calling them farms. Farms have a positive connotation. That poor pup came from a mill, a place where pups are mass-produced, like a mill.

absolutely insane to me that someone's free-roaming cat gets hit by a CAR and the owner wants to return the cat to free-roaming instead of investing in a cat tie-out.

The Adaptil diffuser is a good idea. We used the pump Adaptil spray when our wonderful pit bull was becoming a little anxious when she was elderly. (The last two years of her life.) Her anxiety took the form of licking the floor or carpet around her when she was lying down. Adaptil is the pheromone of a nursing mother dog. Unfortunately the Vet told us it either works immediately or doesn’t and you’ll know right away. Fortunately for us it worked beautifully. We had our sweet, calm, easy going pit bull back.

The fact that she put the snake around the woman’s neck immediately shows she has no idea how to care for a snake and is not capable of caring for a snake and should not have one. This is very aggravating to watch

I know the Kennel Club and University of Cambridge are running the BOAS scheme in the UK to hopefully increase the health of pugs and bulldogsl, but I really think they should change the breed characteristics so that breeders have to breed animals with longer healthier noses if they want to register their pups. The BOAS scheme only helps if people take notice of it whereas a change to the breed standards would help immediately for all pedigrees. Unfortunately money trumps pet health. It makes me angry.

I never understood why so many people there allow their cats to run around outside all day. I have 3 cats, i would have a heart attack if any of them got outside.

Having had part of my soft pallet removed years ago I will feel for that puppy. Some of the worst pain ever.

Great show! Admittedly, I'm a bit biased towards Dr. Scott; he treats ALL the symptoms and problems, pet and human. He and his staff get the job done, and have some levity along the way -- the patients respond to that too.

I work at a vet and normally when you intubate dogs, once they start waking up they will start to cough because they feel sth uncomfortable in their trachea... With brachycephalic breeds it can actually happen that they don't start coughing because they can finally breathe! We actually had had dogs standing up, fully awake from anastesia with the tube still down their throat, and they look so HAPPY! You actually kinda feel bad removing it, letting them go back to not being able to breathe

House calls? I have never seen that kind-of follow up care from a vet. Dr. Scott is really a fantastic vet. His skills with people not just the pets is very evident. Amazing treatment to relieve the pug's breathing problems. Floral doesn't need a dog behaviorist, just Dr. Scott to help her stress with other dogs. Amazing vet.
