11:53 Those five it says are in central Texas, I'm sure the one near where I used to live is one of them. It was not in the most accessible place (for me anyway), and the access to it only got worse as the area built up, but my experience there has been in that 99%. Easily one of the best breakfasts I ever had.

I remember I used to live like a five minute walk from a Waffle House, and if I didn't feel like making breakfast myself I'd just take a shower, put some clothes on and walk over at like 5am in the morning. I only saw an altercation there one time and that was when I went there at like 3am coming off a late work shift and there was a weirdo who was yelling at the cooks and the manager had to shoo the dude away.

This happens.....flip to the page. Intel drone and u2 operators also have that on every single desk. And as someone who made my units SOP's in the Emergency segment of said checklist I may or may not have added a page on what to do in case of a zombie apocalypse.

I used to be a cook at a Waffle House in SC many years ago. I wouldn't call it the greatest place I've ever worked, but yeah they weren't bad. I learned how to properly cook eggs in a stainless steel egg pan, and I can still whip you up a good scattered, smothered, covered, chunked and topped hash browns! 😏

I have never had anything crazy happen in any Waffle House. There is an Interstate Exit in South Carolina with a "University South Carolina" Waffle House and a "Clemson" Waffle House across the street from each other.

I agree. Chicago needs some Waffle House(s)! If Denver can have more than 10, Chi-town deserves a piece of the waffle! I'm from Omaha and we don't need one here (I have to make waffles and all the fixings for my extended family upon demand) but how can Chicago, home of the Chicago Dog and Deep-Dish pizza not have a Waffle House. We need to start a campaign to get the owners to open several up there!

the nearest Waffle House to Chicago and Me here in Iowa (and Fat Electrician since he lives in Mason City // Clear Lake Iowa) is the one in Granite City IL across the river to St Louis

I'll amend that. They updated the map. They added some more in the west side of Missouri. So the ones around KC are 183 to 235 miles distant. once you drive 180 miles another 50 is irrelevant
