🔸 This was an on-the-fly guide done on stream as a basic guide for Tanking Rockgrove on Veteran due to popular demand. It's not as clean and tidy as I would have wanted it generally since I didn't have the footage ready and available and I was clipping it live but it covers the essentials and basics and gives some tips on how to Tank the trial.

Im a level 930 tank and Rockgrove was my first trial. I was the only tank in the group, but the group was very helpful and helped me learn the mechanics quickly.

So what do you do now for bahsei? (Without mist) I usually offtank the abominations and behemoths, and the bleed sucks. We’re able to clear, but I have to rely on magma shell most of the time. Any suggestions for the A-Bombs bleed damage?

This is weird: I was able to block Xalvakka 4 heavy attacks easily, but her light attacks one-shoted me (if not blocked) or at least it looked that way. This is especially weird since light attacks of e.g. Basei did so little damage to me that I was able to restore resources via my heavy attacks while Basei was attacking me. It seems that there is something else happening in Xalvakka fight but I don't understand what...

I was ready to give me tank some nice gearing upgrade with hakeijo entchants. I wanned to do galenwe/yolna but now I saw you replaced gelanwe in all your guides with elemental catalyst set. How much better does catalyst perform compared to galenwe? Which set should I go for in your opinion if I dont have someone else in my trail running crusher? thanks

The problem is Galenwe can be easily replaced and is only situationally useful. The range on it is not that great and if you have a Necro support using Empowering Grasp then Galenwe becomes obsolete. Then the next problem would be that there are very few effective Tanks sets that are worth using in semi-organised group content. Most groups have a Necro using EC but in reality its the only set worth using as a Main Tank because its easy to use and providing a huge buff. It should not be an issue to get Healers and Off Tanks to use a Crusher enchant if you are going with EC, they are kind of expected to use those anyway - group content is about the whole group rather than the individual so they need to think about that

how do you tank it without blood mist?

For none hardmode you just heal yourself through it. You can just spam igneous shield and that's enough. But if you have a hard time then slot a heal over time + a burst heal so Resolving Vigor + Green Dragon Blood and Igneous ever few seconds. For Hardmode we'll have more information this week when DLC goes live.

I'll try to eventually. The difficult thing is keeping up with the ESO updates for the website along with Streaming/KZbin it's hard to find the time to backtrack to do older dungeon videos. I'm hoping to get into more dungeon content on stream over the coming weeks so I will try and pick up footage for Tank guides 🙂

@@TheTankClub You can show as boss fights only, precisely where you standing, when tanks need trigger some kind of mechanic or some eazy ways to kill boss...and thinks like how skip mechanic in dungeon like MoS with one of bosses (he jumps out from arena).. Word through the grapevine is Mistform is getting nerfed, GG. Zos doesnt like players using the ability as its not how Zos "wants" the trial to be run, but yet they preach this BS about be anything and play how you want in ESO. We'll see soon enough if they follow through with the nerf. My group just puts the add between boss and group to cleave the boss and not waste time turning to dps the add, its more of a speed strat. For the big add pulls, taking the Butcher as far away from group is really key so group doesnt get Ignite on the group plus other damage. We have OT run butcher to very back of the room, MT grabs Barb/Reaver/Weaver.

@hunter Yeah, I mean most Core Groups already have their gear, speed, a HM or two. I mean this nerf will really only effect the large majority of players trying to just gear farm and complete the trial. Again this is to be taken with a grain of salt is it not officially from ZOS. We can only tell with time.
