i think it can be super powerful for a lot of reasons, especially since you can backbar a lot of tank sets anyways, the issue i run into tho, is the CP / Skills / builds you have to theory craft through to optimize it, since its not in the meta, you have to start builds from scratch rather then just sloting it. to get its value you might even run stam recovery mundus and rely on ice staff to block for a sub-par example

@@jakedocherty8466 I am more than okay with the idea of being off-meta and it's not for a love of defeat lol. I hate the idea of content or its rewards going to waste. If I can make it work well at least for Veteran pledges then I will be content with anything anyone can share.

In my experience it’s been more useful than the masters s&b for necro tanking Vbrp. But only under that condition. Sorry it’s not more helpful

Whats a good build if you run alot of random dungeon as a tank, and you get stuck with very low dps and Healers that die in enemy aoe, or don't use synergies. I have the luck of getting groups that aren't optimal and you get stuck playing all 3 roles. When I go beefy tank, yes I don't die but even a normal dungeon takes forever:(

Hey man if you mean like you want the dps to do more damage get alkosh and whatever you want. If it's keeping the others alive, who are useless in aoe or just avoiding stuff. Use Bands of imperium. I use that for no death skin runs in public dungeons.

@@travismiller1491 that imperium sounds like a good idea. alkosh is ok but when you don't get synergies from Healers it doesn't do much. which is the issue I'm dealing with sometimes.

@@oscarbear7498 I'm using imperium with dragonguard atm and blood spawn. Literally just keep buffs up and taunts and apply igneous shields every time you can. Basic plan is keep everyone shielded, everything taunted, get ultimate as quick as you can and pump out warhorns (if their dps is shit) or the replenishing barrier ultimate (for if they are to useless to dodge bosses mechanics)

Do either yolo or if youre confident in medium armor, do olo. Idk it works these days since patch, but that's what I used to run for a 5 piece. Your monster set is really up to you, I either did Thurv or Earthgore

Same as what these guys said already - if you are trying to optimise for Dungeons then PA/Olorime or Yolnahkriin/Olorime depending on how comfortable you are. Tremorscale if you have StaminaDDs and Encratis for MagickaDDs

You said when talking about you using frozen watcher in add pulls for maim and said the extra reasons why and you included brittle. You use sword and shield on your front bars so it won’t proc the brittle so watcher isn’t reliable for that. Double frost staff tanking then absolutely.

Necro 100%, if you are decent enough and can stay alive, you can just necrotic potency your own ult in like 30 seconds for the group rez ult. IMO best pug ult, and tank having it makes the biggest difference if you are always last alive

@@jakedocherty8466 gonna have to agree. Even in my coordinate group, necro tank is silly good in dungeons. Auto pulls.. mass Rez... huge debufs. And our necro tank does 10k dps as well. I know EC DKs do a lot too.

If you are starting a vcr 3 prog and you don't know what sets support should be in you shouldn't even attempt it

I see people talk about Encratis a lot, but how much fire dmg is there really to buff with 5%? Mag DK? Maybe? They're rare... 5% to wall of Elements? Would it even be used on a Stam group?

DPS use flame staffs, so light attacks, enchants, destro, wall of elements, DPS monster sets MAW and Zaans. The increase in light attack damage alone is worth it

Flame staff light attacks, flame staff ultimate if anyone is using force pulse part of that is flame, flame enchants, monster sets like zaan or the daedroth. And no stamina groups wouldn't benefit from it

It certainly wouldn't be used in a stam group, obviously. But for mag dds their flame light attacks are one of the biggest source of damage. Unless they are running dw this patch I guess

Also does say in a Stam group it would use tremor and only use encratis on the off tank if it was a mixed group

Can't remember in which vid he talked about it but I remember that it's not that great because it doesnt root, mobs will be pulled but they won't always stay put and roam, forcing using a root anyway. Using a two set bonus and kind of wasting an ability slot for doing something you can do yourself isnt the best you can do. But it's doesnt mean it isnt fun to play with :)

It was his complete guide to tanking video, during the taunt section. He said chains and leash soft taunt for 3 secs, but void bash doesn’t so the adds scatter quickly, making it hard to properly taunt them.

so no soft taunt and it makes them immune to cc so you can't pull and then hold them in place I feel like I have wasted many an hour trying to obtain this set and that alone is soul crushing I thank you for the information all you have commented
