When I was 20 I worked for a call center In texas that would literally target elderly people and we would tell them we are taking donations for the local fire and police department , we called it "back the blue" or something . But we would literally tell them we worked directly for the police department when in reality none of the money we raised was shared with either department lol it was a shady ass business . It was fully commission based so some days you could make 500 to 1000 bucks easily .

The highest interest rate I’ve seen for a bank is 5.5% fdic insured. That’s because fed interest rates are high I think. Lots of banks now offer 5%. So a random crypto giving 8% is insane still to this day.

Thing is, its clear most of your issue, is your issue with burps, and youre projecting this awful view of that on him. Theres a big difference between someone burping in your face like a big brother putting his butt in your face so you can smell the fart, and the average person having a bit of uncomfortable stomach pressure thwy need to relieve. Theres definitely an ideal and perfect level of consideration that people can develop where they never fart, burp, curse, raise their voice, etc in front of others. But thats pretty disingenuous and so anxiety-ridden. Sometimes people just can't hold it in, or just aren't aware, and the idea that they're somehow wrong and bad for it is ridiculous. And harshing on them for it is like sniping at people for the wrong wording or syntax when they're trying to convey an idea, thats also just plain rude. If youre gonna take the high road, you'd definitely benefit from carrying yourself that way because people can smell hypocrisy and uncaring attitudes a mile away, and actively avoid it. Which may be your aim, i dont know, maybe you just dont eant to have to associate with people because of all their "rude" behaviour. But then walk that walk, just walk away
