bolt pistol, plasma pistol, melta gun, long las sniper (with an actual scope). powerfist, charonite claws (maybe a separate ogryn class for that). Hotshot volleygun. So many weapons that could realistically be added and would be super fun to play. I think we'll get there, will just take awhile lol

The biggest update and one that will make the game big for people will be a gene stealer cult. I can't see vermintide 2 without beastmen. This is game sorely needs it more. The enemies won't exactly team up though. At least I haven't heard of it lore wise. Unless the shoe that the Inquisitor is pushing too hard and it's do or die to take over the planet and it's orbit from the imperium

@@guildwars88 that's what I'm noticing. Any weapon can work now if you spec and play into it. There's so much more potential for momentum shifts! I was trying out the devil sword and i think it made an argument to use it over the heavy for preacher.

You know dang well I'm running Commando with my recon las that does 100 a shot. ( It's a recon las from before they nerfed them across the board and the highest you can get is usually 90-ish damage that REALLY NEEDS GOOD PERKS, or it barely does damage. ) All we need is a hotshot lasgun that only drops as a legendary level 30 weapon from Heresy difficulty and above and we'd be rocking it. That, or the las-shotgun variant of Hell Guns. Not sure they still consider those canons though after all the rewrites of Imperial common arms for specialists. Though that also brings up - will we see meltas that just obliterate ogryn and bosses similar to a plasma gun, but with short range and damage based on how far from the target you are to make it basically an anti-tank shotgun? If so, I could see zealots using that because they're all about taking down hard targets usually with their devastating melee, so if you made zealots able to more effectively use close ranged firearms, yet those firearms had very limited ammo, like 12 shots and they were basically a delete button for ogryn enemies, especially on a headshot? That, in my opinion, could be cool. However I am not a game designer and just like kicking ideas around in the community to see if people even like them.

@@enovos3138 It's a full priced game, there's no defending their design for it. The basic, main ones from 40k should be the in-game defaults. If there has to be paid content, save that for fancy new ones or obscure things, rather than stripping the main stuff out the game that shoulda been there day 1 on the initial character creator before you even start your first mission.

I think the zealot and psykers talents tree are perfect trees for criss cross, not the veteran. Down the line it gets veey linaer. And I see a lot of people ignoring the two-four last point, which males me wonder if they are even worth it, and if keystone had srved vets better, as well as more "bridging" between the trees

Not really feeling the Krak grenades. in most situations you were throwing them chaining a couple headshots with a decent lucius pattern hellbore would take the crushers or maulers down quicker, and since you mentioned rending is a bigger factor now that could imply you maybe don't even need those specifically anymore either. I don't know compared to what the others got I feel like the vet drew the short straw. Not having keystones (with a pretty lame excuse) doesn't help either.

I feel the Krak grenade is more of a "I don't wanna deal with that crusher" fire and forget type of grenade, but I wholeheartedly agree the Vet has consistently drawn the short stick in this game with every update with both skills and weapons. It's pretty frustrating to see.

I thought that a selection of melee and handgun combo weapons would be obvious as a choice for Darktide. granted solo variants of the guns plus a handgun and melee weapon combo would be great. so the question is how do we do this? do you combine weapons you own or are they a new separate type of arnament entirely? maybe even add dual wielding handguns as well as melee weapons, plus combat gauntlets for the human characters.

​@@drivanradosivic1357 I'm imagining maybe like a third option in the loadout to have a one handed melee weapon in the main hand so as to not mess with trajectories and a pistol in the offhand and fired by pulling the left trigger. Of course the trade off is you can't block with the sword or aim down sights with the pistol unless you switch to using both hands on it.

I feel like that wouldnt work well simply from the fact that you're losing too many features for it, you either have to use your special fire button to shoot which is clunky, or your primary/alt fire, meaning you dont really have a meaningful alt fire or block

I had to forgo the lovely krak grenades 😢 but in turn, I made an excellent sniper build. Long range marksmen, I can take out snipers bombers and all that from very far away. Stick to the back of the teammates, watch their backs. Loving this update 👍🏻
