Do you guys plan to do tests like this for all your wheels? It would be really groundbreaking for the industry! Nobody is really doing standardized tests of these wheels, and most reviews are subjective, whereas your recent reviews and tear downs are great at giving stats that the manufacturers can’t 🙌

Great review fellas! Loving this new format. Very entertaining! As tempting as the Patton is, I think it's not quite for my use case. Though I gotta say, I've been so tempted to upgrade my OG Sherman to the S so many times. If LeaperKim came out tomorrow announcing the Sherman S Max with 126V, I'd be stuff my hard earned $$ down their magnesium alloyed throats! Keep up the stellar work guys. Ride Hard Ride Safe.

@@davidreimer2759 There will always be problems or less than ideal aspects to any wheel. To me, a shitty trolly handle is about as good a hand as you can have dealt haha The weight = stability. But if you're lugging it up stairs every day and you're not jacked to the gills... might be annoying. Ask yourself how much you will actually need to physically lift it in your personal day to day life. If you live in North America and buy it from us, we will repair anything and everything. If you're doing it yourself, it will be tedious, like most wheels.... but honestly it's just a bad idea to work on your own wheel unless you're very experienced. One mistake can be pretty dire down the line. Overall, I say SS is a great option!

Outstanding production! Ever since my V12 died I’ve been looking for a reliable replacement wheel and have naturally leaned towards Veteran. I was tempted by the Sherman S, but felt it was just too much wheel for my needs. The Patton looks ideal for trails and footpath commuting. 70kph top speed is more than enough and that torque would be lovely on hilly hiking trails.

Yeah I have experience selling thousands of them to people :P Aside from the Abrams, Veteran has the best track record for batch 1 by far. They learned their lesson and I would be confident buying gen 1 from them, if I were a standard EUC consumer :)

Can you guys talk more about the starting torque on this thing? I have a T4, and I love the way it rides, but it feels lethargic to me. I am always frustrated with the amount of effort it takes to motivate it. I don't want to wear pads on my trail/trials wheel.. or on ANY 16" wheel.

The starting torque is VERY motivated. This things rips from literally any speed. Fastest, torquiest wheel of it's size ever made for sure!

Hope that LeaperKim change suspension on Patton... 2 friends had batch 1 and 2 and both had same issue with suspension. Oil leaks, the shock absorber Mount crack after ~1000 and 1200km.

Your friends likely got the smaller weight suspension (58 or 62lb) and sent too hard on them. It seems like you want to get the heavy spring if you want to send really hard, no matter your weight

@@lukastanasiuk5722 Both get 62lb suspension. In shops in Poland i didnt see 58lb version. My weight is ~175lb, and I,m the tallest and the heaviest of our three raiders group. Matheo (sound better in eng) and Joseph weight around 70kg, (should be around 150lb). Most of our trips we drive on roads and sidewalks, ofc they try to do a few jumps in Forest buy this is not for as. They waiting for new Springs, and I have to be patient for new delivery with Master X and KS S22Pro. I Will run few tests and had choose one of them. New Patton has too smal Wh for me

We will get a batch of X wheel and have very few issues and then hear from one of our fellow retailers that their batch of the same wheel has been nothing but problems.... Thanks for the review....as I've been keeping an eye on this wheel. Great track test, nice agility test. But the Coffee test....unnecessary...(waste of footage). Have you heard anything about an IP rating? And I've heard that there has been some fluid leakage of the shocks on the Sherman S. Has/is that being addressed?

Thanks for the kind words, but you're unfortunately dead wrong with the coffee test. It is THE most scientifically accurate and necessary test in the history of EUC testing. I plopped about 200 millskies of lukewarm coffee on the top of the screen/top panel without issue, so it has to be at least a IP Americano. Seriously though, ingress protection is looking pretty solid. We've been sloshing it about with no issues. All the fluid leakage issues I have seen are from people buying the 58lb SS and sending too hard on it.

Hahah thanks! It would be hard to find a third who could both vibe on the level Bradley and I do AS WELL as handle my constant nudity... we may try, though.
