As a Native American I bow to you in honor and thanks for you putting your life on the line for our country. I have Marine vets, Purple Heart Army vets, etc. in my family. And I am…we are truly appreciative of you all. Now, when it comes to T….have fun on the amazing journey of the rabbit hole!!! He preaches facts!! He was born Canadian but he is now American!!!! FYI, as a Native woman I have (as many of my family) has accepted the conquering of our land. We are now Americans! I hold no grudge, I have no hate. @john barraco actually had the honor and the PTSD afterwards of accompanying a fallen Soldier back on a Angel Flight. 24 escorts, 24 caskets, one priest. The most somber flight, but the most meaningful flight of my life. As anyone that has every flown on a C130 will tell you, you can't hear shit, when we got Airborne and the priest gave the blessing you could have heard a pin drop.

This chokes me up, and so does your reaction. It makes me think about people who truly love this country and takes me back to my favorite president Ronald Reagan. What you said about taking a knee..........A true American would NEVER! I will always remember when Nacy Reagan did NOT bow meeting the Queen, she took a lot of criticism, Ronald Reagan defended her by saying that “she was right not to curtsy because she is the wife of an American President and not a subject of the British Crown” What he was saying was you're an American, you don't bow to anyone!!!!!!! If the schools won't then parents need to teach the kids why and how this country was formed and all that died to keep it, why we are all so damn privileged!! Steven Bennett died for our country and to protect the rights of those in it. Unfortunately, they are not proud of their country, even though they are perfectly fine using their freedom of speech to trash it. Disgusting. So, while I support their rights to speak, I really wish they respected the country they live in and those that protect it. RIP to my Dad and to all who fought and died for us. He has also mentioned reactors in his songs for the positive reactors he says "your welcome for all of the views" for those that trash him he says "don't ask him to remove no claims, if I see you fools your going to lose your chains" So he is certainly aware of what's being said about him on social media platforms. What I find most amazing is, the demographic of people that I see gravitating towards Toms music is all encompassing. Even Chinese's people IN CHINA love him.

I lost 3 friends in Afghanistan. & Great Uncle during WWll. I also have a cousin who is a wounded warrior. His hummer was blown up by an IED, which caused him to lose his lower right leg! I lost 2 of them 2 months apart. 2006 was a really hard year for me. . . So from me, my family & theirs... THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE! I'M GLAD YOU MADE IT HOME. KEEP FIGHTING... America’s issue with Thanksgiving is that it’s not commercial…there’s no money to be made in it…period, the end! Tom McDonald is a massively undervalued GENIUS and I am an over 50, white grandmother who only listens to Christian music on the regular!!! He says it, means it and the truth of it needs to be heard! Thank you for your service and sacrifice and thank you doesn’t feel like even a portion of enough! I LOVE my country and just like the Cowboys, EVEN when we are sucking I am loyal to the end! Decades ago, I heard (so not sure how true this is), I heard that some people's children were offended by the American flag in their classroom. If this is was true, I always felt, that if they truly felt that way (their parents bringing them up this way), why are they in America? Today this sentiment is more prevalent (not just in the schools anymore). It hurts my brain knowing there are immigrants that come to America, live the American life with all the freedoms (not allowed in their Country of origin), and yet still think America is bad/evil. ‼️NEW SUBSCRIBER‼️ Toms story: Tom MacDonald is 100% independent! He’s had major record labels after him daily for at least 6 years and he turns them ALL down! After you listen to a few of his songs, especially the music industry and sad rappers, you’ll understand why. He writes all of his songs, makes his beats, and his girlfriend Nova Rockafeller shoots and edits all of his videos! That’s why dear rappers is so simplistic because they were just starting out really. He dabbled in bands and had managers in the past, but that’s why he struggled so much and that’s why he wasn’t as successful as he should’ve been until he wrote dear rappers. That’s after he had cut everybody out and started doing things his way on his time with no middleman! He spent about nine months battling crippling depression. He contemplated suicide several nights and he was a severe alcoholic! I love your reaction, you brought up some great points. I think it's dangerous to get rid off all the things that remind us of history, especially the bad parts. Germany kept all those places as a reminder of what had happened and to hopefully be able to prevent it from ever happening again, because people are aware of the history and how it came to that point. Getting rid of it all and pretending it had never happened would be the wrong approach. The Second World War is talked about not because it was such a great event, but because it was one of the worst and it needs to stand as a reminder of what can happen and what people are capable off, to hopefully prevent it from happening ever again... doesn't seem to be working unfortunately, but history isn't taught the way it used to anymore and that is a really bad and dangerous thing.

Auschwitz and Dachau were there in 1990 when we were over there. What a damn field trip that was.... they still smell like death. We were stationed in Pirmasens, Germany... loved every second living there. I was 15, definately didnt look 15 and loving life back then haha.

When it comes to Thanksgiving in school most people were taught that it's when the Indians and the pilgrims came together to survive the winter and give thanks. Which is why we call it Thanksgiving. Through the internet and people actually looking it up it was found out that the pilgrims after being helped by the natives make it through the winter when weather permitted and they had the food and stuff necessary they pretty much turned around and attacked the natives for better land. That is why some people are up in arms about the whole entire Thanksgiving thing. They don't think we should celebrate something that started out as something good but then turned out to be like a wolf in sheep's clothing type deal. But what everyone seems to forget is that the natives had also started attacking the pilgrims because they believed the pilgrims had brought evil spirits because they all started getting sick. Either way you look at it it is the past and all we can do is move forward and treat natives with the respect that they deserve and vice versa.

What's almost tragic about this song is that Tom is Canadian. Nova had been picked up by Def Jams and had her living in South Central LA (the GHETTO) and Tom came down and crashed at her place. I don't think he's gotten his US Citizenship yet, but he plans on it (dual Citizenship). People on the Left like to say Tom is "Right Wing MAGA", but the reality is he's not on anyone's SIDE, he pokes fun at both. He's one of the Few artists out there singing about something besides "Hoes, Money, Drugs, Guns and Booze" and doing it well. Keep going down the Tom rabbit hole. From one vet to another.

It's sad that a Canadian is more patriotic about our nation than many Americans! But be assured there are still those out there who love our country and love those who have sacrificed to serve and protect us. As an immigrant I feel doubly indebted to our nation. Those who complain about how hard life is here are just ignorant. No America is not perfect but it's a hell of a lot better than life anywhere else in my opinion. As far as what to label yourself...why do we have to label ourselves. I think that is part of the problem. Human beings are unique, one of a kind we need to stop labeling and start understanding and learning from eachother. God bless you!
