Ivermectin also rids mange with borax sprays and few other cocktails. Ivermectin will save a breeder alot of money! It helped me financially when the 2008 recession hit. Considering studs fees, and pup prices dropped due to the recession. Mind you I bred conformation correct ukc show dogs so there wasn't alot of breeding but the occasional litter pulled its weight financially for the yard. You've created some well structured dogs man!

Wow this is so helpful, but I’m a bit overwhelmed. I’m sure once I get the hang of all of these meds it will seem less daunting. I do already give my horse ivermectin as well as smz’s when needed, but I need to watch this again because although I took down the medication list and dosages, I’m confused on the frequency. I just started transitioning my 14 week old pup to raw, adding less of the victor high pro that the breeder recommended and more of the raw food. She is SO happy with the change! She got to a point where she was not interested in the dry kibble anymore. Now that I’ve started with one meat, an egg and a small amount of oats, (gradually mixed in with less and less of the victor over the last 10-12 days so far) she is absolutely DEVOURING her meals. My biggest concern is parasites and after this very informative but slightly overwhelming video, I’m ready to get into the research and make sure I get it right for her! Thanks so much for all of the hard work you clearly put in to all of your videos and for so much education to help other bully owners make sure their dogs have the best of the best and more! -Nora from MA

Feed ours raw in the morning, kibble at night. Makes cost a lot better and lets them have a little variety everyday without much effort. Also what do you dose for horse ivermectin?

Ivermectin for horses may be too potent. The one for sheep, sheep drench ivermectin is less potency much more fit for a dog. Not saying all this mans info as wrong, but I am not really convinced we should be using horse dosed ivermectin. .003 MILLIGRAMS per lb of ivermectin for a dog.. If you do the math, the tube contains 6.08 grams of paste or 6,080 milligrams. The percentage of ivermectin in the gel is 1.87%. To derive the milligrams of ivermectin in a full tube you take 6080 x .0187 = 113.696 milligrams of ivermectin per tube. That is enough for a 1250 lb horse. The plunger stem has 28 serrations so when you open a new tube and push the plunger stem up to the first notch each notch thereafter will dispense 113.696 milligrams / 28 or 4.06 milligrams of ivermectin ( Just call each notch equal to an even 4 milligrams worth of ivermectin ) Even if you have a 100lb dog, that's .3mg to treat them.. NOT 4mg. Each notch is supposed to be 25lbs, but 25lbs for a horse! you'd need to divide that notch 13 times. and feed your 100 lb dog a 13th of that section worth of paste.
