How do you get to the bolts on the bottom??? It's a very tight squeeze and a terrible angle. I wish that would have made it into the video instead of just filming them already loose. I'm trying to get my plenum on right now with new gaskets and it won't go back on so I need to loosen a runner but the bolts are obstructed. How do you fit the bit on the bolt and loosen them in that compressed space?
@VetteSource4 жыл бұрын
Yea, the bottom bolts aren't very accessible. It helps if you take off the valve covers, and use a swivel adapter to get some upwards angle on your ratchet. Just remember to not overtorque, the torx heads will strip easily.

Can you make a video showing how to replace the whole egr temp switch assembly on l98 corvette?
@VetteSource4 жыл бұрын
Are you looking to replace just the switch, or the entire EGR crossover pipe from the intake to exhaust manifold?
@JuanDopes4 жыл бұрын
@@VetteSource forums are recommending an egr delete instead but i can't find any videos on that do you have one?

My trans am has this motor; I'm trying to replace the injectors but getting the runners off have been such a pain.
@VetteSource3 жыл бұрын
Yep, they can definitely be frustrating especially the two hidden bolts at the lower mount points that come in from the opposite direction.

@@VetteSource Yes! I've seen someone use a special tool but I cant find it anywhere!
@VetteSource3 жыл бұрын
I seem to remember that tool, but it's been a long time since I've seen one. You can also accomplish it with the right mixture of universal sockets and extensions.

I have a small block 350 with TPI system. It’s currently in a 71 Elcamino. Can I use another aftermarket system like FiTech with that manifold?
@VetteSource2 ай бұрын
Hey Sam, I'm not sure how you would integrate the computer controls from the aftermarket system with the TPI due to how simplistic the processing speed of the TPI is. Also, the unique design of the intake runners and manifold may not match up very well with the programming of the aftermarket system.

Thank you for this video helps out but I have some issue with my with my unit it overfill the the pistol walls or the Pistons it seem like it's filling up fuel very quickly and it just overfill everything up walnuts tiling for a few minutes it overflows my cylinder walls if you haven't answered let me
@VetteSource Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question. My first thought would be you have some bad injectors. The coils inside have failed and they're not holding the fuel back like they should with the engine turned off. It sounds like you have already verified what is actually happening, now its just time to replace the injector set.
@samobregon4699 Жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for replying back I have replaced the fuel injectors on that vehicle but it's something wallet Island all the sun just fills them up I think there's more issues behind that is there a way that I can contact you or or send you a video or in the future what's going on

What is the tork spec/ ft. lbs. for the upper intake runners bolts?
@VetteSource4 жыл бұрын
They have a range from 25-45 ft lbs. I would shoot for around 30-35 personally. Thanks for watching👍

@@VetteSource That will be great because you have the best how to content on KZbin, especially with corvettes.. The people I shared your videos with loved them, but complained about the camera movement. I think your channel would have grown more if the videos were stable. Just advice from an avid subscriber. Thank you for your work..
