I have just bought one of these to do a Mini and a Fiesta. Even as a beginner I got excelent results first time.

Thanks for the video. These things use to be unreasonable high priced when they first came out. Now, this model is affordable. I actually built my own because of those high prices. Mine works very well. If this one had been available I would have bought it instead. It would have saved me a lot or research and material gathering lol. Phillip Hall

PS It's not made for metal that thick. I realize you was using that for demonstration purposes.. It works great of thin metal such as car body parts.. Doors, fenders, hood, roof etc... I hope you enjoy your machine as much as I enjoy mine. Phillip Hall

True that it would have saved you the time researching and building it…. But you gotta admit it’s pretty gratifying and rewarding when the companies price things out of reach, so you just build your own that works just as well lol

Any ideas as to why mine welds in very weak? I have it on high and it doesn’t stick very well. The metal is clean and the ground is on

I'm not sure. I'd try to set the tools option to different tools and see if you get stronger results. I don't think that's a recommended solution, but that's what I'd try.

I had the same problem. It was a defected component in the board I'm thinking about posting a video on repairing it

One thing I have learned is that you don’t want to push the tool hard against the panel when welding, in fact keeping the pressure light helps there to be more resistance and therefore heat at the point where the slide hammer tip is against the body panel, it is the heat that makes the connection.

Has anyone had issue with their dent puller not sticking to metal?
@MrCbell57 Жыл бұрын
You may be encountering an aluminum body part.
@JBFromOZ8 ай бұрын
Try not pushing so hard against the metal, as the heat is generated at the point of highest resistance an electrically poor connection will be where the heat concentrates, and that will allow the metals to fuse at that point

hi im in UK. bought this and it hasnt worked properly since day 1. i had a 13a plug on when i got it, plugged in tried it and blew the house fuse. got myself a 32amp supply and it does the same thing. it will do the first spot sometimes but 99 percent of the time it blows the 32 amp breaker in the house. utter garbage, the ebay seller ghosted me . id AVOID THIS GARBAGE. no after sales, no warranty

There is no way to connect the ground. What kind of machine is this with no instruction no ground and no way to fasten the ground to the body. Sending it back.
@joshdaniel7894 Жыл бұрын
People Chuck the normal ground clamps in trash cause they suck so this wasn’t included. But if you can’t figure out harbor freight or tractor supply sells on that screws on you should be sending it back

By using the ground and the welder without the collar wound in, the ground becomes the first weld point to attach to the plate. Once the ground is spot welded to the vehicle panel, you tighten the round collar down to the plate which reduces the contact resistance at the ground connection, and further spot welds will occur at the target electrode. It works really well in practise.
