I bought one of these and this was my experience with it. I direct filled rifle tanks without issues never more than once every half hour. When I started to fill SCBA tanks that did not go so well. I ran it straight for about 20 to 30 minutes and that melted the 2nd stage piston rings and no longer could get past 3000 psi just like that. I contacted VEVOR via online only and followed instructions and answered all questions, within a few weeks VEVOR sent me out 2 new sets of 2nd stage piston rings free of charge. I installed new piston rings, and the compressor is now working properly again. 1st stage rings were fine. To VEVOR, I recommend that an extra 2nd stage piston ring set should come with unit as mine did not, this would have left me more satisfied with this purchase and reduced stress. To users if filling tanks, I would not run straight, I don’t know what the magic number is, but run to long and it will melt down no matter what you do. Some say 20 minutes, I will never run more than 10 minutes myself between cool down periods is my plan going forward and no more tanks for this one. Also, this is not a “Yong Heng” and parts are not the same. Parts for this one must go through VEVOR. Patients is a virtue here, Ha.

First I was a bit skeptical about the additional metal sheet cover on the front but then from the known failure in other brand Yong heng I realized this metal cover actually act as a safety sheald in case of something flying around so it's not bad to have some additional safty.

Nice presentation as always. I had a Hill compressor and after 2 returns for repair (leaking, no pressure built) I sent it back for refund. Depending on how intensive the individual shooting with airguns is, I recommend to invest into an high quality compressor. Since I have a Bauer Pe 100Tw there are no issues anymore. It fills the bottles very quick without having the need to cool with water (Hill is also air cooled I know). The air is also already filtered and dry.

I alway been told to bleed off the pressure first before turning off the compressor, get yourself a best fittings one-way valve and that way you can bleed off the compressor and shut it down without loosing air out your bottle.

I'm curious to know if this Vevor branded compressor has the same high pressure piston as the Yong Heng. The Yong Heng has a brass piston (with 3 o-rings) recessed into the large low pressure piston vs clones have a aluminum piston with one cup seal butted up against the low pressure piston. Would you mind taking a look inside?

I would no, not the same. I melted my 2nd stage piston rings down in two weeks of use so i got a look at them. There are not split rings, they are thinner that Young Heng that i can see, the intire 2nd stage piston is different shape and contours. I am desparretly looking to soucre new ring direct from somewhere as thius will be an ongoing issue i am sure. These are like a plastic ring with no ring gap or split.

Do not use tap water as a coolant! Tap water in many areas contain metal ions. It will corrode your compressor·s aluminum head .use the car coolant and put in a bucket. You can also add ice cubes isolate from coolant in the bucket, or install a water tank cooling device.
